Please help; files imported on world editor and used as models are not appearing.

please help with my problem. you see i was trying to invent a new hero using the Lich King as a model, i imported it using the import manager, and when i used it in the object editor, no preview appears. i tried to put it on the map and using the unit palette but it displays a green checkered cube and says that it could not open the file. please help me. (credits to the one who made the lich king model i really liked it):goblin_boom::goblin_boom:

did you check the model to see if any parts of it have to use a custom path?
If so use it how it tells you to.
Other than that Save and Re-open the editor than try and place the unit it should show up now. As for the green icon not much i can help you with I get it and I've followed tutorials and what people have told me and get them still.

Though for looking in shops and in your inventory.
you need two icons imported the BTN n DISBTN icons of the icon you are useing

thank you greasontim. now i figured out what the real problem is. the custom paths for the skins of the lich king. when i tried importing and using other models with no skins it worked. now looking for the custom paths for the skins. thanks a lot

now.. i am looking for the perfect DotA template: the terrain looks so much like the present DotA complete with the buildings and creep and neutral creep spawns but with NO heroes and items. i found a good one but it only contains the terrain. i can manage on putting the buildings but i do not know the triggers for creep respawns. by the way Mallaboro, thanks for the reply too. i appreciate it
