I was wondering if an ability such as this could exists, and how could it be done.
An ability in which the caster(be it a hero or a simple unit) enters in his own death animation, fooling any enemies, that were out of sight in the previous moment, into ignoring him(technically) upon spotting.
Does an ability like this exists already?

Yeah, that's a good idea about the locust, so that the unit would actually look dead in every aspect.
I had this thought when i had the idea of a map involving a "rebel" skeleton that must flee a maze full of patrolling footmen. Normally you would think about a Shadowmeld, but i thought about the skeleton going down in pieces and then coming up again.
Some cool thing could be the animation going from death to stand in reverse.

I have something similar to this. I based my spell of phase shift. This also allows you to auto-cast when you take damage. When you phase shift create a dummy unit at your position and make it play the death animation. Change collision and also add the ability ghost (visible).

The unit can still be detected via triggers and will take AOE trigger damage so if you want to block that check for the phase shift buff.
