Don't really like it. Can't really say much since you just made a random terrain. It looks nothing like a barrens, and it's not weird enough to be cool.

I agree with Raging, either make a practical terrain or make it much more random, and random to the point in which it looks like it wasn't done in two minutes.

Yeah, it's perfectly safe to experiment with terrain. It is, in fact, how I taught myself to terrain better. So experiment as much as you want and show it off to us! I'm sure you'll improve much. Your other thread of High-Resolution terrain murders this terrain though, no question about it.
