Description:
You start up in a small mountain vally in the end of the war between the Scourge and the Alliance in Lordearon. The Scourge is going for supreeme control of all lordaeron, but som villages hidden in the mountains manage to withstand their force. The high walls and mountain passes barricades the undeads entrance.

Be a necromancer and destroy the vally from the inside be raising hordes of skeletons to slaughter the humans, or be Lightbringers and bring down the necromancer thread

Gameplay:
Necromancers: Raises the fallen and gather corpses at graveyards to summon a a horde of walking deads.
Lightbringers: Hunt down each necromancer by using you elite force of Umbrabane Warriors, each Umbrabane warrior are cabable of learning his own abillities during the game.

You lose if your Lightbringer/necromancer dies!

1.....If i use gather corpse ability on a graveyard before it has corpses then my mana is used up but the spell is not used. Mana should not be used up.
2.....You should place some information about the time limit before the summon of the skeletons. I did not knew that.
3.....The necromancer should be a hero unit. Will make it much easier to find him.
4.....The necromancer can walk through the yards build around the small graveyards
from some places
5......there should be hotkeys for the abilities
6......If i am using the dispatch ability & i move the spawn away from the necromancer then the necromancer stops the movements of his hands. The spell works still. I tried this again. This time he did not stop.
7......Information about the guardianee in the quest log will be useful.
8......If you can make the computer active than the present passivity then it will be much more fun in the single player

Wow! You didnt to much to the minimap image, but I think it looks awesome for some reason :S GJ! =D

1: I'll fix that
2: What do you mean when you say this (The time you can't make any actions while you casts the spell?)
3: The lightbringer should too, but i don't want them to gain levels or have Agillity/Intelligence/Strength. I'll figure an alternate way out.
4: I did not see this as a bug, but i'll fix it.
5: I'll fix that too.
6: I'll make the dispatch abillity stun the skeleton until the spell is casted.
7: Quest will be added

omfg I get sudden ending of the game when a necro is killed. No defeat/victory screen, just instant scoreboard. FIX THIS. Cuz it looks kewl :p

Not sure i got the problem, but will fix the defeat/win anyway.

Maybe you are correct. I played it in single player. Due to the lack of AI i got bored too soon due to which i mentioned AI.
After i wrote the post i thought about whether i should rate it or not as it is meant for multiplayer (i think) & i played it in single player. But later on i decided to do so.


I think that as i myself are not sure about the rating i had given i should change my rating to

hey The_Silent i found ur map, and the first what i tought was !!!Dam.!!! Yesterday i got in someways the same idea for such a map.

I like the stile of ur map, the game mechanic is a bit..... mmm..... slow ( i testet it in battle-net with some other players) well its a 0.22 ^^. for now it is a 2/5 for me but i look forward to a 4/5 or 5/5

There could be somthing that make it faster, or more dynamicly for example diffrent Nercomancer/lightbringer classes thath u can pick or involve to.

All in all i like ur map like hell ^^, can't wait for a new version.

If u want any sugestions help or somthing msg me .

Nice map. I hope to see much more of this one, so here's a short review, which hopefully may help you.

Terrain: Most terrain was pretty basic. Not bad, but not good either. Some places however, mostly keyzones (Brigdes, Cities, Graveyards etc.) was very well made. So far i'll give 3/5 for terrain, but if you spend some more time in general improvements, that can easily be raised.

Gameplay: I love it! Hiding, slowly building your army, preparing for the right moment to strike... Nice! Leading an elite force, trying to keep alive, get stronger and eventually cleanse the evil... also Nice! Oh, and the fact that you got multiple choices of Guardians, that really surprised me. And it was GREAT!
Only three things kept me from giving this a 5/5.
1. That may just be me, but i think the Deathless was far too strong for the reward they gave (7 skeletons). Either make them weaker or add more corpses to the graveyard. Personally i would prefer the first option.
2. I got some problems with the gates. I think its nice that theyre there, but you don't get any warning whenever you approach them as Necromancer. I got slaugthered by the tower, because i thought, that such a strong protection had to guard something. Its a minor thing, but may i bump in the initial learning curve.
3. I got some problems with the mana/power system of the Necromancer aswell. Firstly: I payed i prize to become Master Necromancer, which allowed me to pay ANOTHER prize to get a Guardian. That annoyed me.
Secondly: I only lost mana when using the Raise Corpse spell. Why?!

Design: Icons, Models and the like was perfectly matched and worked well together.

Bugs: Found a very annoying bug (besides the mana?). The green light that appears whenever a skeleton dies, did not disappear. EVER. Really frustrating after some big battles.
Also most of the Necromancers hotkeys did not work.
I found nothing wrong with the Lightforcer.

Overall: I liked this map quite a lot. It was also quite original and overall well made. I rate it 3/5 right now. Final rating will be 4/5, if the things i've mentioned above are fixed.
As it is now, i will not give it 5/5, because this is not an epicly good map.
But its a solid and long lasting game, which is much fun. So i hope, that i can soon give this map a 4/5, because i think it deserves it.

EDIT:
Found something more in a multiplayer game on BN.
1. When a Paladin leave the rest can see ALL OF THE MAP. For the rest of the game.
2. Green stuff from dead skeletons, does not show for Palas? Anyway, that still needs to be removed.
3. Deathless ARE far to powerfull. Guardians could'nt even match them.
All in all stil fun, but those things really need fixing. Being able to see the entire map was ridicolus.

Guardian spell didn't work @ me... I had the icon but if I clicked it NOTHING happened (there wasn't even a spell-cast or "this-button-is-pressed" effect).
Dispatch hotkey must be fixed.
You can revive a zombie just after you have dispatched him if you're fast.

Plagueland Legacy best fitted in the miscellanous map type, is a map where a player chooses between two sided. One side being the Necromancers, and the other the Lightbringers. The goal of each is to kill the other using various tactics, such as summoning skeletons from graveyards, or as a lightbringer emptying graveyards.

Well the terrain was pretty average. First of all almost no ground tile variation, you used perhaps two tiles at most. There was a lack of dodoads, only trees scattered around the huge map. The huge map should be shrunked a bit I think.

What I didn't like aswell is the lack of heroes. Yes having units only has it's charms, but having a hero is a speciality in warcraft and should be included in every map of this type. The abilities on the units were fine.

The map was quite fun to play, it was original to one point. It should be more elaborated, how to play. What I don't like is if I cast a spell I cannot cancel the channel so that really is bad, since someone can own you when you are busy channeling.

The packaging of the map is great. I can't add more, a decent map in overall, 3/5 (Useful) and Approved.

dude u wanted to make the necros and palas heros but not level and dont gain int or str or anything like that?
i kno how to do that =D. first make the heroes. then go up there find the right button(dont remember name search youtube change hero max level) when you find button a screen come up scroll down until you get to Hero Max Level: XX. take it and take from 10 to 1 that makes leveling imposseble. now the stat thing:
go to the units go down to: Stats:max/minimum int/str/agi. set both 0. max will go to 1 automaticly it is not possible to change that :(. then you can change max health and max mana and damage but the stats will still be shown on hero :(. this is pretty easy to do you just need to know where to go.the down thing is that NPCs can only be level 1 too so that sux. PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK ON MY MAP IDEA LINK IS BELOW!!

edit: the_silent if i get god feedback i might need someone to make me sum icons u want in? before you answear click on link and look at what the game is about
