Physical damge at orpgs

I m currently creating a orpg with some friends and since a waek i had a strange idea which i want you to read and say your opnion.

First of all i regnorised that a high lvl hero had something like 1200-1210 damge- which is quite strange(alway the same damge)

so i ask now if it would be better to create something were you damage is more random(like at many rpg games like D2 or TQ)
ot do you think its better at wc3 to have to old locking x to x+2
damage.

DPS:
  • Great psychical damage, low on hitpoints. WoW fails at this point.
Mage:
  • Low on psychical damage, low on hitpoints, high magical damage. WoW fails at this point.
Tank:
  • Small psychical damage, high on hitpoints. WoW fails at this point.

Those three are the foundations of any (MMO)RPG, which WoW fails at.

You fail at analyzing that because;

Dps - instead of having low hitpoints rogues have crappy damage reduction.
Mage - also crappy damage reduction and also crappy melee damage but massive magic damage.
Tank - Only goes for paladins... they must die...

1k damage was any value i also could say 1000000-1000010 thats not the point. i just wondering wy nobody is against the really short beetween this values... i mean if you have luck and score 10 damge more doesnt matter at all-
Here i ask again how you would like a orpg were you have damge like 200-600 or somtething. I really wanna hear you oniniums abot that.

To the dps mage tnak think...
we all know that wow is crap but i think itss worng to do just that classes.. i more prefer classes like time warrior, blood mage(not the one from ladder game he is a fire mage), or arcane ranger. most of this classes could be played at different ways so i time mage could buff himself to be a great dps hero or debuff his enmeys to be a tank. He also mabe played like a mage but thats not really his best job.
