Yes it is. Cards are rarely incompatible with a motherboard. I'd be more concerned about your power supply. How many watts, and what brand is your power supply unit?

he is going to buy a new power supply too (he has some 400W if I recall correctly).
I guess that the next question would be: Are there any problems/tips about 600W power supply ? (with his motherboard)

There shouldn't be. 600 should be plenty to power the card, and I'm not even sure what kind of problems/tips there are in regards to Mobo-PSU compatibility. It'd have to be a strange board not to work with any good PSU.

You should tell us the PSU your getting too, don't want something that will puff blue smoke and make a pretty lightshow as it fries your computer

Didn't notice it was an additional PSU, not a stand-alone. I have no experience with them, so I can't help much.
However I'd be careful, I think the card may take 160 watts per pin. As I said though, I've never looked into a PSU like that.

ok, so... we installed the graphics card and the PSU (sadly he has stupid case so we had to leave one side of the computer opened, and the PSU on it) and all works fine...

well, from his reports, I gotta say that we installed it properly (aside from the pulling out of glued TV card, and the point that his case is opened from one side and the PSU is on the case ). I helped him configure the drivers and showed him what and where to configure... 't was fun (especially the SC2 on ultra with 130 FPS >.> )

A cheaper card could hit 130 FPS as I think your CPU is bottleknecking it more than your GPU unless you are playing at an insane resolutuion like tri screen or in 3D.
