opening dled maps...

whenever i download a map off epicwar and the world editor appears it says it cannot open map that there is not enough storage space and when i got rid of all other downloaded maps and other maps i made when i was bored it still said it couldnt i checked epicwar's help/faq but it didnt say anything so i figured some1 here could help me

That is a protected map. The creator have done something with it so that others can't open it in the World Editor.

And don't bother asking how to deprotect maps, since that's information that we don't share on this community site.

if you want to open a dled map you can open mine, i dont protect my maps, just dont upload it anywhere without my permission.

Map protectors are 3rd pt programs right ? So its kinda "illegally" to protect maps same as deprotecting them. I'm just wondering.

Yes, but I think more than 75% of all maps aren't protected.
Very often maps of well-known mappers are protected, or maps who have got a Map-Preview-Picture...
