Critical Error Opening Map

Hello, I was bored and was flipping through my maps for old time's sake when I saw a map my friend had made in the past and wanted to see what it was like in the editor, so trying to open, I received a "Critical Error" saying the following essentially:

Not enough storage is available to process this command.

Object: WERandomGroupSet (.?AUWERandomGroupSet@@)

Does this mean the map's protected or that I need to utilize a special editor to open it?

Yes, protected. If it was for the sake of an alternative editor, it would tell you that some functions don't exist in the database.

Unprotecting maps are against the forum rules so no, besides it's probably protected for a reason, and your friend might still have the original. So go ask him for the map!
