Well, what can I say? It's been a long 12 years since I was last here, and it's good to see that the Hive continues to thrive even after all this time. I wouldn't have been posting if it weren't for the site's accommodating staff and admins (thanks again, by the way), as attempting to recover this long-forgotten account was easier said than done. So even though I'm technically an older user of this site, I'm no longer familiar with its residents given the length of my absence. I suppose this would be a reintroduction of sorts?
I first registered here and on other Warcraft 3 forums back when I played and toyed around with editor, but TheHelper.net was where I spent most of my time as a forum-goer. Wasn't good at anything in particular, but I had fun. I stopped visiting once I got hooked and moved on to World of Warcraft, so that pretty much dominated the majority of my free time while I was still in school. I eventually moved on from that, too. Haven't really played any Blizzard games for the last several years, but hearing of Warcraft 3 Reforged's release date drawing closer by the day brought me back. So, the first thing I did? Check all the modding sites and forums that were still active, and now we're here.
I'm sure most of you don't recognize me (I'm thankful for that, really), but I wasn't a very well-liked user in the past, to put it lightly. My posting history pretty much consists of absolute drivel, and I had a huge fixation on the karma system that pretty much all forums used. So if anyone happens to remember and has an awful impression of me from back then: I sincerely apologize for all the trouble I caused; I don't have any excuse for that. But a lot can change in 12 years when that's pretty much half of your lifetime.
These days, I mostly stick to JRPG and ARPG games. I used to cheat a lot in games I played in the past (Warcraft 3 was no exception), but growing up, I realized that doing so only sucked the fun out of everything. Now I find myself replaying old titles to beat them legitimately when I couldn't before, some of which are getting or have already been remastered (seems to be a trend now). Hard Mode as an option? Let's do this. Permadeath? Bring it on. Who would've thought that having a challenge in games would be fun?
So with this reintroduction, I'd like to formally join the Hive to be a part of its community — the reason I should've joined in the first place all those years ago. To those who remember, I hope we get off on the right foot this time around; to everyone else, it's a pleasure to meet you!
