I have a bunch of Naruto Shippuuden (demon-ye) models unfortunately after using them (I looked at a map they are in for pathing) they didn't work as mdx format, so I converted them to mdl and at first they worked. I could place them on the map or whatever and then I saved.
After that they all appeared as green boxes and the models themselves don;t have a problem (Ive seen the exact same models used with no issues) SO I tried the mdx files again and they STILL will not work with the pathing found in the map I got them from.

Any suggestions on how to solve this annoying issue would be appreciated, I've done everything I can think of and importing models just seems to be one of those seemingly simple things that goes horribly wrong. Its time to admit defeat and ask someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Hum, that's not because your thread has been visited 14 times that the 14 visitors would know the answer, but are too lazy to write it down... You should keep calm, or you'll be neg reped.

In all honesty rep means very little to me and I could care less about what people think of me.
I'm not a part of this community and the only thing I use this site for is models on occasion or for downloading maps.
And yes I was a little short tempered, but having a thread open for more than 24 hours and having no comments on it when they have looked at it is a good reason to yell at lazy, dumb people.
Anyhow the evasive answers are not helping.
I know its the textures path that matters.
And now I'm getting an urge to start freaking out again.
I need to relax, calm down and mellow out and people need to put some effort into their answers.
So can SOMEONE give me a definite Answer?

Heres some points I need cleared up
-Why are the little green boxes appearing after Ive put the models into the map and they show and after its saved they turn into the said green boxes?

-How do I fix this?

I'm new to map making (I always have a hard time with importing custom models) but I have a generally decent idea on what I'm doing (for an amateur) So saying something like "its the texture's pathing that counts" is kind of redundant and covers what I know already.
Real aswers only please.

Ok, thats for the help. (I'm not so pissed of anymore)
That brings up one more question. whats a good hex editor program to use so I can grab the proper pathing? and can you tell me how to look up the pathing? (I'm definitely not a modeler so this is all new territory for me)

My god, I fucking love you. Guess who gets to go in my thank you list for the map

That was certainly a quick change a heart. No offense but you kinda sound like a fuckhead when you do stuff like that.
