You can use JassNewGenPack World Editor (JNGP) to set your custom ID.

If you're using the normal World Editor and you don't care about the ID. You can see the ID in Object Editor normally after the unite is created.

Just ' CTRL + D ' you'll be able to see raw data including 'Object ID' near every name of unit (It contains 4 letters you know).

You can return back to the normal mode by clicking 'CTRL + D' again to hide Raw codes.
