If I remember correctly (been years since electronics) a NOR gate will allow only 1,1 and 0,0 since will will NOT allow a 1,0 or 0,1. Is that correct?

Come to think of it a NOR gate is only considered "open" when both inputs are zero as the other three combinations are a 1.

well an OR says that with input one OR input two OR both are high then it is also high. a NOT OR therfore means the logic gate is only high when none of the inputs are high because it is the complete opposite.

edit* just read your last post William, yes you are right what you were thinking of first time was an EXNOR gate, or an Exclusive NOT OR gate. a normal OR is high when both inputs are high, and EXOR is only high when only one of the inputs is high.

It is wrong and you should be negative repped accordingly.
And seeing as how you are a mod, you should have a harsher punishment for breaking the rules you are supposed to enforce.
