Hey,

I have a few question's that I'm not sure about so here they are:

1.) What animation's does a building usually have.
2.) How do you make & add particle effects to a model/animation.
3.) What is a good fps (in milkshape) to make normal unit like anims, EX: a footman attacking.
4.) How do you turn a model around without losing it's animations? (I made and animated a unit backwards >.<)
5.) How do you add team color
6.) ~I'll put up more questions as I need them:thumbs_up:

*Note: I have searched a few of these on thw but the tutorials either don't have enough info or they make it look way to hard.

1) Birth, Stand, Death. Probably Portrait too.
2) Magos' Model Editor
3) Just under a second? I'd say about 20 frames, but it depends on the model.
4) Add a root bone, put everything underneath it, and give it a globalsequence with a single frame of rotation at 0...
5) Empty texture -> replaceableId 1. Magos' has the list.
6)

:cute: Thx for all the answers ^.^

1) work (was it named that way? its the one where it trains units and so on)
2)3DSMax / u can even do that with notepad if you know what u r doing
3)the fps is the same in all programs
4)depending on your modeling program... if u use 3dsmax just deactivate the autokey function, turn the model and then reactivate
5)if u use max you can look at the tutorial of the arttools
6) -_- (^^)

Don't forget a decay animation for the building.
There is also a thing called "event objects" that can be added in magos, create one of those in the node manager, and set it to "ubersplat" and add an event track at the time of the death anim (you can check this out in the sequence manager), it makes a nice scorched splat texture on the ground that most buildings use. Check the event objects of other blizzard building models to see what splat texture they use.
