Hi guys ! The topic title might be a bit vague but my problem is very simple. How can I, via trigger set something so a certain unit can run straight through all kinds of terrain (cliffs, obstacles, trees....). It's the one used in DotA Spectre's Spectral Dagger. Please help me if you have any idea !

Thank you very much !

i dont know how dota did it but you can set the collision size to 0 so the unit can run through trees, etc....

though im not sure about the cliffs....could be that collision size 0 is enough. test it.

I am pretty sure turn collision off wouldn't do for cliffs. Try making it flying.
Edit//Tested, doesnt work. But making it flying works ok. Except that it changes height a bit and it doesn look good (tested with footman, a guy who walks in teh air DOESN'T look good at all) No idea whats the dota's spectre throught... But test yourself.

Okay, looked it up on youtube, and this is physically impossible. Units behave differently than missiles. Missles go along a 3d line (start at position of caster, end at position of target) where a unit moving would only go on a 2d plane but change heights depending on the height of the ground.

I think that Spectre's dagger creates dummy units (black) with ah aura based on Tornado Slow (wich doesn't display) and a small range. A periodic trigger checks if the unit has the Tornado Slow aura and disables collision, if it doesn't have the buff, turns collision on.

Triggering, probably. A periodic check to see if the cliff level in front of the unit is higher or lower, then set unit position a bit further over/under the cliff, only if has the buff... besides of turning collision off.
