No research, ability's buff still appears

I've made a spell, lets call it A, with a buff, lets call it B and as requierment, the research C. I've disabled the C and now the disables icon of A doesn't appear, but the buff B appears. When I enable the research the disabled icon A appears and there is the buff B.
Pls help me with this.

What ability are you using that applies the buff?

Make sure "Check Dependencies" is on, although I don't think the Icon would be disabled if this was off.

I just tested Devotion Aura with a Research Requirement and it worked properly.

Whilst most abilities in the game obey tech tree requirements, some do not, so check to make sure you're not using one of those abilities. I don't have a magical list but if you tell us what ability you're using it should be easy to verify if tech requirements are properly applied to it or not.

Yep, spiked carapace doesn't obey tech, it's also one of the buggier skills in the game (if damage reflection is 0 it will still return something).
