Need Passive Entangling Roots spell

Hey, I want to make a passive Entangling Roots spell, which will have a % chance to work against attacking enemy range/melee and deal strenght/agility/intelligence depending damage per second, can anyone make it or give me any idea how to create it? :> I prefer it to be as simple as possible ^^
