[General] need help with WC3 world edit unlimited/new gen WE

hi, im not sure where to post this so here will have to do. ive just edited a map and went to play it in single player custom game, the player list is not there and when start is selected it goes back to the previous screen.
have tried editing it in both WEU and the new gen editor, when I save it syntax errors occur. dont know much beyond basic map editing and that's all I want to do but cant as this never ending pile of road blocks reduces me to a painful crawl in terms of playing a damn map..
any help would be appreciated, thanks

There's a good chance it may be incompatible with the newest version of Warcraft III.

This will reduce the work to nothing but mere scripting game (unless on some rate).

thanks, these responses have clarified why im having these problems, its a shame the map is un editable tho...
