Need free art programs

Are there any "free" programs out there that allow you to model, skin, artwork, etc. Because I wan't to do this stuff now. If you can find any, can you post the URL or whatever down here.

If your looking for a good free art program to do textures (skins) in try out The Gimp 2.2 ^_^ its what I use

And for 3D art and stuff check out the stickies in the 3d Animations part of the forum because they have a big list of the great simi-free 3D programs!

Art Programs is a helpful list that Werewulf posted quite some time ago.

[off-topic] When creating new threads, please make the title relate to the subject. The site's search engine (and other users) are far more able to help when the thread's name ACTUALLY DESCRIBES THE SUBJECT!
