Well you should try and raise the ground a bit more. Make it so its not so flat. Also you should use more types of environmental doodads, eg. use a couple of different types of grass and add some rocks around the place.

As for the temple, I think it looks very plain at the moment. I would try adding some rubble and stuff like that to it. However if you don't want it to look like its ruined, you can see if you can find some other way of making it more detailed.

This is very plain in every possible aspect. Mass of the same grass, a few trees, a little peer and a few ruin doodads and some units which are way to big compared to other doodads placed here and there.

You need to work a lot more on your terraining, not that it is THAT bad, I have seen much worse, but this is not good by any means. Try and follow some of Bob27's advise and perhaps read a few of our terraining tutorials in the tutorial database.

Needs fog, or a better one. Look in my terrain, I have a similar type. The temple area I made has a lot more in it, although it can use some improvement as well!

The last one is kind of decent. But the rest look messy. Try to make bigger terrains instead of small islands. More details and atmosphere makes it easier for the viewers to adore the piece.

The over-use of custom grass is good. For once a beginner understands this factor of terraining. Also, when you take screenshots of your terrain, place the units in planned spots to make the shot of the screenshot cooler and allign your camera with the terrain parallel. Like in the fourth picture, the camera looks a bit too much to the right, instead of being directly in front of the statue. Things like this can make it harder to like stuff in the terrain... depending on what the screenshot is of, of course. :p
