My servers lag for others

Anytime I host a custom game, and when my brother is playing on his comp he gets major lags even though we got 8mbps connection, also the players in my games lag and then usually leave. The strange thing is that it worked when we had something like 2 mbps connection! Anyone know how to prevent this lag, I dont even have any Programs running expect Warcraft III FT and Wc3Banlist.

I just noticed that it lags even if he is not on computer, also my comp is good, so it can't be my comp, can computer space left effect it someway since on my C drive I got only 4gigs.

Is it wireless? What's your upload? (I have 1024 download kb/s but 128kb/s upload for example)

My upload is 128 aswell, the internet is Wireless but the wireless part is turned off and we just use it as without wireless.

128kb/s isn't enough for hosting purposes. Try using Listchecker, I've heard it helps sometimes.

Here's what I would do if I were you.

1. Virus and spyware check. These things cause computers to slow down a lot. You will not see them since they will run in the background.
2. Defrag your C:\ drive. This will really make your computer faster especially if you got a lot of fragmented programs. Computer space left can affect your PC if it's C:\ normally. That's why I never install Warcraft 3 on C: but on other partitions like D,E,F etc.
4. If that didn't work either, format your computer and reinstall everything. This usually fix most problems.

Well, my upload is higher than 128, but I wasnt sure but I though it was 128 because you said so too. I only know that my internet is 8(Download?)/1 or 2 (Upload?) megs.
