can someone know why i can't open MPQ (war3x.mpq) in model editor?

What are you trying to open it with?
Oops, didnt read the last part. I guess it cant find it.
iirc, there were a few tools that fixed such issues but I'm not sure where they were uploaded. Wc3 Registry Fixer was one of them I think.

Are you opening it through the MPQ Browser? (Windows -> MPQ Browser)

Does it give you an error when you attempt to open it?

What model editor and what error is it throwing?

Try opening it with MPQEdit. If the archive cannot be opened with that then the file is corrupt and you will need to reinstall Warcraft III RoC and TFT.

Is your .mpq located in the same folder as the war3model editor?
If not, you have to open it through File->Open MPQ Archive.

No need to, he can just correct the path of Warcraft inside the registry [Ex : InstallPath], I had the same problem me either, I just fixed the registry that's all

It's depend on the error he got, but usualy I know why the MPQ folder doesn't open

It might also have problems opening a MPQ archive that is already opened by something else. For example may MPQ readers will fail to open the Warcraft III MPQ archives if either WorldEdit or Warcraft III are running in the background.
