Alright this looks good but your using lighting like its a type of metal, I suggest to take it down a little bit to make it still look shiny but not as if its a metal surface. The other thing I see is your having the lava color on his horn shining off on to the plain horn sections, This is good but I'd suggest having some of the lavas shine hit the head some what.
Theses are honestly just suggestions though.

Nice job though I've also seen a lot of improvement in your skins as you've been skinning more.

It is 100% freehand. I suppose you want more detail besides just a bony face.

The face looks very good (and good if it's freehand, seriously)
But the rest of it in comparison is lacking, and looks kind of bland.
If you want to change the face up, put some cracks in it or whatever to make it look more detailed.

Maybe try to make the face and bones black with lava cracks, almost like you did with the headdress, but darker black, so that it looks like glowing charcoal? That would look pretty neat and look less like a lich.

ah. lol. That makes sense. It's just that when I look at the skion, it doesn't seem to fit in. Maybe a tint of red though? even if its a faint tint?

Change the chain to be like some kind of lava rope. that would look sweet if you pulled it off.

as for the faxe, I think terradont has the right area there. well him and HT. change the shape a bit, change where some of the lines are, and if you made it look more lava-ey that would be cool.

the lightning from hes hands is not something the skinner change, but great skin hawkwing really neato.

An idea i got from Darkholme's lava rope. Couldn't it be some kind of dripping lava? Not dripping ofcoarse, since it would look wierd with flying drips, but you get my point i hope?

Like DonDustin said. I think viewing from a far, the skin might not be noticeable. Add more to the clothing.

I finally have a fire lich, not a crappy red tinted lich. Its great, but I think there should be some little lava cracks near the line between his face and horns.

Hmm... it bothers me how it's a fire lich but on his attack animation he breathes frost. Oh well

Also, it needs some kind of border on the cloak.

Then u need to use this skin on an imported model(same as the lich) There are many tutorials on this site.
