Modifying w3x files with MPQmaster

I seem to be doing something wrong in the process.

A few minutes ago, I tried reskinning models in a protected map by opening it in MPQmaster, creating the folders for the path and importing the skin. All is well until I tested the map. I tried using the three heroes that uses the models I reskinned and saw that they had transparent models (much like missing textures) and made the game lag for a couple of seconds (when picking). The third one, upon getting it from the tavern, caused an error to appear.

I have also tried changing the model through the same process but ended up worse. Once the hero using the replaced model was picked, the game just hangs and I'd have to force a restart.

So, any ideas to why this happens?
