Its likely not the model editor, as I seriously doubt that importing a model incorrectly would cause a game to crash, no matter how fucked up the path may be, unless the model generates particles and polys on a level that is simply catastrophic for WC3. Have you tried testing the models on a blank map, its likely that triggers are causing a crash if you're using a downloaded map.

It's a map I am making (I didn't download it).
What kind of triggers would cause the game to crash o_O?
I even tried optimizing map before starting game and still crashes =/...

This is what pops up:

fatal error

program: c:\program files\warcraft iii\war3.exe
exception: 0xco0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001b:72604a7f
The instruction at "0x72604a7f' referenced memory at '0x115f8000'.
The memory could not be 'written'.

Two things.

1. This isnt a WE problem. this is like third party. Dont have a diff tab atm.

2. As darkness said, i highly doubt its the editor or the tools your using. Its most likely a user error. Read the tutorials and see if your overdoing anything.

What I don't understand is that the game only crashes when I load a unit I edit myself that I extract from WC3 viewer, if I use a unit that I download or if I only use regular WC3 units the game doesn't crash ...

Also even when I don't modify the unit at all it still crashes game if I load it from WC3 viewer.

I have had this sort of problem before. It was one of the units I edited in the model editor that was causing it to crash. Some times the model editor will corrupt a model file you are working on and then will crash your editor when using it.

You need to find and delete the corrupted file out of your import manager. An easy way to find it is by going to the object editor in the WE and scrolling through your custome models in a unit "Art - Model File" until it crashes. Then reopen the WE and look at what model file you where on in the import manager and delete it.

Once a model file has been corrupted you can't fix it. You need to make it or download it again.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much that would really help!

The Units I need to have weapons taken off of are:

_Peon
_Fel Peon (the Red and Black one)
_Night Elf Runner
_Mountain King
_Peasant

EDIT:

_Demon Hunter

(I think somehow my viewer is bugged but even after re installing it doesnt fix)
