I'm pretty sure I don't have a sense of "humore", but I have enough common sense to know that a pun, no matter where it comes from, could not possibly be funny enough to be worth the time wasted looking at it. It's a law of the universe. Now, to waste more time with a pun, "The house was a mansion in a manor of speaking".
