No offence chilla, but saying that in a minecraft thread is not the brightest idea ever.
The game bases itself on gameplay, not graphics. This is something games should do whenever possible, in my opinion.
And seriously? Judging a game on it's graphics could as well be used against Wc3.

Yes, you can get the free game - the alpha - but it doesn't have many extra things, really the free game is just a "lego" type building engine, buying the game is what gets you survival mod (along with things like mine carts - pretty much anything you interact with).
-Note that only the alpha has multiplayer atm

I had a cracked minecraft exe that let you play singleplayer using emulated server feedback. I'm sure if you know where to look that you can find it too. Then I bought minecraft (since I actually have an income).

Now, back to the house discussion:
Yeah, i think natural houses are pretty ownage too.
But the "Normal" houses can be darn bad-ass sometimes.
For example i have a floating villa on one of my computers, complete with lava vents to burn mobs stupid enough to hang around below it.

On my other computer though i cut out a temple in a stone cliff, and instead of having an actual door or a blockade to keep out monsters i just added a hell load of booby traps to keep out annoying mobs.

oO I'm so fucking scared.
It became night and some monster attacked me, so I ran and digged myself into a little hill.
I digged deeper and deeper and closed the entrance with some blocks.
Firstly it was alright and I continued building my hole.
Then I heard voices oOOO
I thought no problem.
Then suddenly I heard some kind of slamming noices as if they tried to destroy my entrance, but it didn't.
I'm now so fucking scared because I don't know what it is, where it comes from and what I can do oOO
This game is much more scary then Dead Space oOO
But I already fell in love with Minecraft
Awesome game with a big world to discover.
