This is my first attempt on animating.. may contain bugs. Remember to rate! =)

Okey, if u are so interested in someone's opinion, who tested it in game, I'll help you. I'm modeller/animator on my own, but talking about test in comparing with other models, I hope, I can make some comments.

The main thing, that I don't like, it's how he moves =( If you tried to illustrate some kind of jumping, you failed. On moving, the lower part of chest moves on the ground, and the higher part !Jumps out from whole chest model! and follow it. Did you try it in game yourself? And as for me, I think, that "Stand" animation mustn't have any movements, as from my past, they were very-very dangerous in Final Fantasy serie =) Because they looked like common treashure chests, and on coming up to them, they were starting to attack.

Don't think, that it's very objective answer, but I hope, u'll think about it somehow.

xD, yeah I haven't tested this model in-game cuz my WE won't work in the cpu I'm using now. Btw, I'll fix the move animation.. As for the "Stand" animation, I think it's better than no movement since this model aren't based on Final Fantasy series but on Ragnarok Online. =) Thanks for the review.

Interesting idea. However i don't like the mesh. it's like a closed box with a lid on it :/.
also the walk animation sucks ... pretty badly. I'd suggest that in the stand animation you make it jump instead of making it flutter with its lid. I like the attack animation, however it gets a bit boring after a while ... so I'd suggest you make a second attack animation and the portrait sucks ... probably because there is no camera.

Not rated until improvement.

This animations are awesome, use as inspiration (by DevineArmy)

It should animate more lively to be a Mimic.
I don't like the 2-key movement you use. It looks pretty stiff.
I suggest you to animate it again with more keys and more detail.
Or maybe I do it for you, if you want to.

L0l, my walk animation actually has 16 keyframes... has some bugs..
Fixing it right away~

LestatBR, you're lame. Nuff said. Stop with whining about those models.
Give me a break. Now go back to your own cool world and stay there, making some very cool models. You should know YOU animated with 3DSMAX. I animated with NOTETRACK.
Do you understand why my animations suck compaired to yours? Now do you? I think i was one of the first guys that made an animated model from scratch with OINKERWINKLE tools. Boasting about your model just makes you lame and pitifull. Now drop the subject and stop posting comments that directly offend me. I demand you delete that link. Now. Or i'll ask some moderator to do it for you.

Sorry that i had to spamm your thread with this but LestatBR offered me no choise.

Like Pyritie says in his review, your walk animation screws up because of the forward <-> backward movement.

You say you made changes but i can't view your model at the moment but i'll do so as soon as i can.

Because i still can't check out the ingame animations ...
i'll give a comment about something i just noticed ...
you should fix the wrap on the lock.

The lock is the same as the treasure chest you use in Warcraft III, well you won't notice that in-game.

The stand animation ... I think it's pretty bad ... it could be used as stand 2 but as a stand first, you should just make him jump .. or just make him stand on the ground. Also, your model still needs a decay bone or dissapate animation.

Well, actually I'm still not that good in animation. Btw, why must a mimic need decay bones.. it doesn't have any bones.. And also, warcraft III's treasure chest model's lock is the same wrap as this one.

It still needs a camera and just because blizzard made a dumb mistake ... your model shouldn't suffer from it.

If you want me to ... i could do the decay and the portrait really fast. If you don't know how ... and i'll show you how it would be done.

You need a decay anim otherwise it'll just disappear after a while. That looks bad.

And add a camera, like DevineArmy said. (I completely forgot about that part :eek: )

Even a mimic =.=

At the end of the death anim, just wait a bit, then make it sink into the ground or something.
