Melee Map - Keethisland Marshes

Hey, I just finished a melee map and I was hoping to get some feedback before I submit it to the maps section. Let me know what you guys think!

Version 1
-4 Gold Mines
2 Gold Mines have 20,000 gold
2 Gold Mines have 10,000 gold
-1 Fountain of Health
-2 Mercenary Camps
-2 Green Camps
-2 Orange Camps
-4 Red Camps


Version 2 has:
-4 Gold Mines
2 Gold Mines have 20,000 gold
2 Gold Mines have 10,000 gold
-1 Fountain of Health
-2 Goblin Merchants
-2 Green Camps
-4 Orange Camps
-2 Red Camps

Version 2:
-Added more terrain variations
-Redid the neutral creeps to be more balanced
-Replaced the Mercenary Camps with Goblin Merchants
-Changed tree size to normal and health back to default (From 20 to 50)
-Added neutral animals
-Removed hostile creeps from starting positions
-"Solidified" the trees, by which I mean there's no more random tiny holes in the trees.

Eldubs - Yea I thought it was kind of dull too, wasn't really sure what more to add so I thought it was done. I know I don't need them but I find it good practice for if I do maps with more players.

eubz - do you have anything specific I should change? I'll read the thing later, thanks for that.

You can't really see it from the screen shot but there's actually quite a few doodads in the map. I can upload some in-game screenshots give me a few.

EDIT: New screenshots at the top of the page.

This is a very simple melee map for it to be on the map dev section, mostly melee map doesn't need to be show until its release.

EDIT:

Well here is a review for you to work on.

GOOD:

  • The map layout is symmetric.
  • Enough resources for a 1v1 map.
  • Good item drops.

BAD:

  • A level 30 pack defending a goldmine is a no no.
  • Neutral creeps are just to OP.
  • Terrain just feel really empty.
  • Unbalance creep camp.

SUGGESTION:

  • Use more tile variation.
  • Remove the units on the starting position, its not needed for a 1v1 melee map.
  • Add more enviro doodads.
  • Instead of mercenary camp, why don't you place a shop there?

Thanks for the feedback man, I fixed most of the things you said, plus some more (see top post.) I also added some screen shots.
