The texture is not that stretched, it's from the goblin tinker tank which has pretty low-res textures as it is. If you have any suggestions on better texture choice i can fix it.

you should use another texture for the .... round thingy in the middle. I looked up the halogun and the mesh looks a lot like the original but the texture ruins it...

I will make a custom texture version for this shortly.

Though i think those textures suits for a modern warfare grenade launcher, or perhaps the assault rifle from ut2003. Just not the mauler.

EDIT: Custom version uploaded now. Check it out on my resource page. Looks much better now if you ask me.
