An idea I had for an ultimate ability: when cast, creates a neutral passive, ethereal orb of pure magic. When a targeted spell (Storm Bolt, Holy Light...) is cast on the orb, it casts the same spell (though slightly weakened) on every enemy unit in range (or friendly unit, depending on the spell) and then dissipates. For example, throwing a Storm Bolt at it will cause the orb to throw a Storm Bolt at every enemy (of the caster) unit within range, Holy Light will cause it to cast Holy Light once on all allied units in range, etc.

Alternatively, the orb gets hit by a spell, but instead of casting multiple weaker versions, it will have a much more powerful version (double or triple damage/duration/effect) of whatever spell was cast at it, dissipating once the spell is cast.

In both cases, the orb has a short timer, encouraging quick reaction before the orb is wasted.

Would this be too powerful as a player-character spell? I thought it'd be more appropriate for maps against AI opponents (RPGs, campaigns...)
