[General] Map Size Too Big

I am currently making an AoS map but I'm afraid it's getting too big, the file size I mean. I don't know if it's just my editor but do maps slow down when the file size gets big? If it does slow down how do I reduce the file size without protecting it or losing data?

Please help.

Increasing the file size doesn't really make the map go slower, only the download (it also shouldn't slow down the editor).

The Map size doesn't affect the speed in game

it affects the speed of the loading of the map

And DO NOT Cross the 8 MB or else the map will be useless for local play

No it does not... Modern HDD systems load dozens of megabytes a second even if those are done in random order.

It is actually map complexity that slows map loading down. For example, an ability with 1000 levels will probably take 5 seconds to load.
