Map Size Problem

So, i'm pretty sure the max is 4mb, right? And if you try and host a map larger than that on Bnet, it should deny you, and tell you it's too big. Well, my map is 4,303Kbs (Not sure what that is in MB. I thought 4.3), and I was able to host.

But, im using what it says in my import manager, which is 4303. Is that number wrong? Im so confused. >_<

you can reduce the size with vexorian optimizer.
dont see size at import manager, see size the map file you save.

Yea I think that when you save your map it compresses the files you have imported, meaning the size of the map of the map is lower then the size shown in the import manager.

You can compare a map with a MoPeQ file. Everything imported is being compressed. To check the actual size of the map on your harddisk, simply browse for your map and right click, select "properties". I bet it's around 3Mb.

The actual limate is about 4096 KB, if not rounded up a bit. So with compression you probably reach it.
