Nice!ok closet is nearly finished only need to now how to do glass
So you could do a keypad with numbers 0-9, a button with something like "Offer Price", a backspace (to undo a number), and a cancel button based on the type of icon setup like the shop is? That would make it easiest for the player, but that makes the shop system more complexI was wondering how I could create a system where you could barter with the NPC.
Do you just need to type in the value then? Or should it be done with the keyboard as well (like this: if you select an item and press "Buy", then you will go to the price tag and can change the numbers one by one, if you press buy again the NPC will either accept that offer or not).
The latter is lot harder to create, but I don't mind that.
I've played it. Great campaign... I think they made the airships out of different doodads combined together. They really do look nice, but I doubt they can't move around. Also, there is a campaing hosted on wc3c.net, it's called something like "Return of the Alisia Dragoon" or something like that
It had some cool airships in there
Yeah, of course! It's just for testing purposes... unless you want to wait a few minutes to see if the system works =DYou were planning on making the price changes much less frequent though? It would be too easy to wait for a lower price at the rate it changes now.
If only wc3c wasn't down... :/Rednek said:Also, there is a campaing hosted on wc3c.net, it's called something like "Return of the Alisia Dragoon" or something like that

Good idea, a lot more realistic that way ^^Chanan said:the ship cant move when there is no person in it.
That's quite a straightforward goalChanan said:the goal of the game should be to get as much money as possible.
Working on that now, but what should happen with the ships once everyone leaves it and it becomes unmovable? The ship becomes neutral and can be stolen? Then maybe players would have to buy some type of security lock to keep ownership of their airship once they remove all units from it. GTA in the skies!and make it so the ship cant move when there is no person in it.
Just making sure you weren't planning on leaving it that quickYeah, of course! It's just for testing purposes... unless you want to wait a few minutes to see if the system works =D
I actually wanted to make it a rather rare event and let the prices be decided by trading (which will also change the value of items).
Should we work out everyone's roles in the making of this map first? Maybe it's best for everyone to just say what they want their role to be called. I guess I'm terraining and setting up the airship systems.Map Development, someone?
(And make it a good-looking thread, with a lot of BB-codes and try not to use colors xD).
Wrong personap0calypse said:Indomitable: sorry, I can't open m3ds (I only have Blender and some wc3 model editors) :/
I'll have to wait until you complete it I guess ^^
Will this work?i was thinking we could use Gold, Lumber as currency but change lumber to silver or something less valuable or more valuable?
I haven't done anything with ship interiors yet. I'm not really sure what style it should be. Mostly wooden interiors? Being able to buy stuff for the interior could be good too. Maybe you can actually set up things that upgrade your ship from the inside (like engines, guns, etc.).Any news on ship interiors? How bout of players can customize their ship interior? with items that they buy. the item allows the player to build their own doodads in their ship.
Edit:
just noticed that this exact map can be made with Boats, and spaceships.
Really nice idea, but we can call the garage a docking bay or a docking port.Well yes, you can only control one ship at a time, but I was thinking more about some sort of Garage-system, where you can park your airship to get another one (a garage is available in every city and all your ships are available in all cities, not only the one where it was parked).
Then you can switch between a fast, agile ship for trading missions and a slow, strong ship for battle.
Those are what you think the resources should be? I agree with you that G/S/B is overused in MMORPGs, but I haven't seen it used in Warcraft yet (unless there's a fairly new RPG map I haven't played that uses it). Well, anything works as long as we decide on it before we start making the ship shops in case we'll be having resources required to buy ship parts.I personally don't like Gold/Silver/Bronze because it's been done everywhere.
Ships require:
- Metal (hull, weaponry, engine).
- Wood (interior, basic frame).
- Money (to buy all misc stuff).
It's looking really nice so far!ap0calypse neat idea's![]()
Sorry that im not really active right now becouse i have schools on 30 Juni i have summer vacation and will be active alot for ap0calypse i got this for you the .object file of the model that is for blender right ?

I know, the UFO was perhaps a stupid example... what I meant was that, at the end of the game, your ship is completely different than it was before.ap0calypse, thats a nice idea but the map is supposed to be kinda medieval fantasy. But i guess there is room for upgrades like that. Much later on. And i would rather have magic than technology. And there are probably not enough Airship models to make them look different with upgrades. i have a friend making a story for it. he will post here soon.
That would save us the hassle of creating a fully customizable system for moving them around and fitting them into ships, so yes I like the fact that they go directly into your current airshipAnd I guess that from the moment you craft something, it is automatically implemented on your current airship?
