Hey turnro, really enjoyed playing the good story path.. but I came across a few bugs..

In assault on astranar mission.. the archer near the top right base remains invulnerable throughout the mission..

Also in the search for the dekigod mission.. the furbolgs i rescue from the cages aren't spawning from the cages.. they spawn in different location around the area

Nevertheless it's really a good campaign.. and has contents for hours.. keep up the good work buddy

Hi guys. This company is the best I've played in the last few years. Turnro's skill is truly astounding.
20 hours of flawless gameplay, at times I felt like I couldn't get through this or that mission.
Each mission is unique and thoughtful, keeping you in suspense from the very beginning.

Hi all! While working on the Good story-path, this has also involved going over the existing maps and adding several improvements (Chapters 3-6). Below are some of the changes to expect once the Good story-path becomes available again in a future update.

New story and cutscene changes
Several new interludes have been added to flesh out the existing story, as well as adding new perspectives for existing and new characters. In addition, cutscenes in existing maps have also been updated to include new scenes such as an encounter with Medivh in Chapter 4: Spread of the Corruption.

Improved gameplay changes
Several maps have been re-polished to provide a more balanced gameplay experience, in addition to new and revamped quest lines. Here are a couple of gameplay changes made to Chapter 5: Search for the Demigod.

The Tainted Plants This is a brand new quest where players are required to find a certain number of Kawphi Plants throughout the mission. These plants are been tainted and Malfurion needs to collect these plants so he can study them and learn more about their corruption.

Rise of the Makrura This is an existing quest which as undergone some changes with the quest's rewards. Playing this quest line provides players with the choice of either allying with the Makrura and declaring them as enemies. Previously, there was no benefit given to players who did not ally with the Makrura. However, this has now changed to the following: Ally with Makrura -> Gain Makrura troops for Chapter 5 + access to Makrura in a future mission Declare Makrura as Enemy -> New powerful item for the player's Heroes

Where does the "The Tainted plants" quest and what chapter mission to be precise o-O.

Also was able to recruit Makrura, my impression they were be recruit in Night elves tech tree but they were actually a mercs hmmmm interesting but ehhh

Final boss in chapter 9 (good) is hard. Impossible to win. Boss use spell strong, cooldown short, so much hitpoint. Mafurion have not rune of hit point to survival and illidan weak.

Precisely. And it makes me malding to the point i was about to switch difficulty until you have to make furion to have low hp for the cutscene to work. Or constantly distract Mother to prevent tag team on killing Illidan. Plus you do get like Runes of healing at the second phase boss battle.

What version are you playing? If it's 1.31 patch, it's in the credit and debug legacy version link.

You mean "can't play the campaign"? If so, make sure you are using the correct version of the game. Go to "Credits & Debug" section if you have only 1.31.

I don't know what caused this, but on chapter 4 of the good story making and canceling a unit spanws many units of that type and also messes with ur supply ( it decreases it ). This ca be abused in order to get infinite army with o supply cost. Edit: this seems to be the case only for the ancient of war in astranaar that is placed by the game ( If i create another it doesn t happen )

I don't think I'm too familar with the quenching mod. I know it used to be the only way for players to play custom campaigns back in the day though.

QM seems to be abandoned a long time ago when the original author (Zorrot) decided to quit this project for a while, so I think most campaigns aren't compatible with this mod.

No, Zorrot is still working on quenching mod, but he is currently pursuing a PhD and has too much work to do every day.

Hello Turnro, thank you for the release of Campaign I just wanna say that I love the new missions. I really like the Aspects models they are pretty amazing. What I would really like is if you could tone down a bit the vault escape part. Throughout the campaign that was the only part I really had problems with. If you only removed other units ability to stun/ice you. I also believe that the end where you have to take down 2 levers and 2 buttons is a bit much for the time you have. In the end I managed to pass it after 10 attempts which I believe wasnt intention.

@Turnro There is something that makes me curious, is there no help like the highmountain tauren in Malfurion's Quest Sentinel? Given their ancestors, Huln Highmountain and his people fought alongside the night elves against the Burning Legion.

I highly suggest deleting the saves from the previous Malfurion's Quest campaign (v1.4). v1.5b (and maybe, the future v2.0) has a revamped campaign maps (due to the inclusion of the Sentinel campaign) that could break the previous saves related to the previous MQ, IIRC.

Hi all! While working on the Good story path, I've had the chance to place the legendary items that will be available while playing Hard difficulty. While the specific items and stats are likely to change, here is the list for those who are curious:

View attachment 398720	Ancient Stone Tablet Summons 2 Furbolgs to fight for you. Also increases the Intelligence of the Hero by 6 when worn.
View attachment 398721	Necklace of Elune Increases the Agility of the Hero by 8, and reduces Magic damage taken by 33%.
View attachment 398722	Black Pendant Blocks a negative spell that an enemy casts on the Hero once every 40 seconds. Also increases mana capacity by 250.

Malfurion's Quest v1.5.1b is now live

Malfurion's Quest v1.5.1b is now out, bringing with it several bug fixes and balance changes! You can find the full patch notes in the Change Log section on Hive.

As for what's next, I've decided to take a prolonged break from Malfurion's Quest after many years of working on the v1.5b update. While I won't be working on the project anytime soon, I may take this time to pursue other smaller passion projects for Warcraft III (though haven't fully decided yet).

In the meantime, have a good one and enjoy the latest update

I mean.... he worked on it many years, developed amazing campains, characters, differnt trees for different fractions, and isntead of saying anything about current missions, reviewing, leaving good word for someone who wrote that lost passion and wants to reignite his flame to creation with diferent projects for now.
Instead of saying "Hey well done of these great campaigs cant wait for another project, hope you will one day finish it, but take care of yourself first."
Instead ask WHY IS THE REST NOT READY....

Tunro from the player who played through your campaings multiple times, who enjoys them greatly I can't wait for your new projects whatever they will be! As much as I hope you will one day get to finish this as it's huge project and lots of fun, take care of yourself and do what brings you joy. With the level of polish and work you put in, I'm sure we ill all enjoy it ;D.

In the Barrow Den submap (the one with all the undead) there are three invisible ghosts, they each drop a fragment of the legendary item (there should be a gem of true seeing in a crate just before entering the den to hint at it and help you find them)

If I'm not mistaken, the goblin merchant should sell dusts of appearance that should do the trick... though you might want to check on youtube the exact location of the ghosts, else you're gonna need a lot of dusts

even without the gem of the true sight and dust of appearance, you can still use Tyrande's owl to scout for the ghost as it has true sight too.

You can only download one version. The normal download will get the Reforged version, while the link in "Credits & Debug" section will work on legacy version of the game.

Please note that if you want to get Reforged version of this campaign (with SD graphics, of course), expect a plethora amount of bugs. This is mainly due to the 2.0. update.
