Gameplay

Choose from eight races:
Orc, Dark Troll, Goblin, Night Elf, Ogre,
Naga, Pandaren, or Human.

Start as a worker.
Build a camp.
Transform into you choice of low level warrior.
Kill a critter to capture it. Train your new pet.
Critters can transform as well.


Examples:
Pig becomes Quillbeast
which becomes Quillboar
with option to become Tauren.
Skink becomes Dragonspawns
and eventually the Pit Lord.


Attack a creep camp.
Pillage gold.
Destroy the creep's structure to make it your own.
This increases food supply.
Transform into your choice of more powerful warriors.
Raid more camps.
Become a hero.
Defeat the Dwarf King.
Hold the mountain summit
for 100 seconds to WIN!


Features Eight Players. All MUI GUI triggers. Four UIs.
The_Flood's 3rd Person Camera System.

Pleasant terrain loaded with 3D sounds.

Originality

A somewhat unque type of game type. What I like in this game is that you choose on what way your unit grows and become a hero though I do think some maps attempted this and is successful but there are just few of them so I can still considered this somewhat on a level of unique. And what's more is that you can have critters as your pet which also becomes a hero same as your main unit.

Presentation

A very clean and original presentation. It contains all the possible informations needed and is followed with Features, Screesnhots which is also appealing and Credits. You also made your own template and it is great in form. You have your originalities. This deserves a perfect score to be honest!

Design

Everything looks fine. Minimap Preview Image fits and is attractive though could also use a Loading Screen. Quest Menu is organized, all icons are seem to be working and no green icons and descriptions seems well though some parts could still be improved.

Score: 61/100

Terrain

Terrain is decent but actually it is really empty though its good that its not flat. Also, trees should have different scaling sizes and big differences on Min and Max Value. It makes it more realistic! Also, the terrain could still be improved alot. Be creative and also use those Special Effects to your advantage, you can make them and modiy them to be a doodads. There are lots of possibilities for this to improve honestly.

Score: 63/100

Triggers

Triggers are organized and looks good. Everything seems to be working and not to be bugging which affects much of the game. All I can say good job. Not much to judge on triggering.

Score: 80/100

Object Data

Once again, everything looks fine. Nothing wrong and everything is fresh. No improper units or units scaling size, no improper or unfitting sounds though some errors in-game (but not sure or not yet confirmed if it is an error)

Score: 61/100

Gameplay

Game could be good though why is it that when I used Orc then upgraded into Grunt, I planned to upgrade into Rider or whatever you call it but it requires 3 food but I have 3/4 food and there is no such way I can increase it a value. Is this a bug or is there a way out of here because for me this realy crushes the fun. Everything is fine except for this.

@Hell_master: To upgrade you need a free amount of food for the next unit. To get extra food supply you must take creep camps and kill the structure. This will make the structure yours and give you more food. If another player later kills it, then you will lose it and it will become theirs. This should add some tension between creeping and defending your camps. I hope its fun. Of course once you become a hero, you should be more interested in leveling up and taking the Mountain from the Dwarf King.

This is no longer an issue. Currently, you only need enough food supply to feed the unit you want to become.

Unexpected tab 1

- Good 3rd person view, you can see the wide landscape with it.
(also you can turn on/off rotation of camera)
- Overall I like the wide and hilly terrain, cool to run through world.
- I think well thinked amout of creep camps, not to much and not to rare.
- Big choice of units you can play, and some new cool custom spells (like jump for example)
- I like the idea of a pet very much, that can help you in fight. ;)

- Maybe you could add a Multiboard which displays some player data. (transformation status, level, kills e.g.)
- Generally terrain looks good, but I think you can still improve it a bit: Maybe you could use a bit more variation of trees, and terrain-tiles could be mixed up a bit more

Honestly, the annoying cam system ruined what would otherwise probably be a pretty fun map. I could barely even use my units properly. Also is the murgul race supposed to cost Gold to pick?

Also, this is not related to the map itself but.... how on Earth did this map take less than half a week to get approved?!?! To my knowledge there are maps that have been in the pending for 2 months or more. If there's some mechanism to skip the normal queue, can I have in? :p

Yes, every unit costs gold including the Mur'loc Slave for the Naga race.

I know that the cam system can be tricky but there is no other way to show off the terrain in the same way. I will see if I can't improve on it. The Flood's system is probably the best GUI cam system on the Hive.

The cam system can now be turned on and off.
Food is now easier to come by. You only need enough food to buy each unit, after you buy a unit your "food used" is reset to zero.

I'll reply for now since mech is afk currently. In terms of the camera...I'm not sure how you can improve it, but I'll mention its main flaws so you have an idea on what needs changed. It's been about a week I think since I last went in testing stuff, so sorry for the lack of any information.

I know you can adjust it with arrows, and turn off the auto rotation...but these don't help that much. For starts, if i turn off auto rotate, the camera will be really awkward if I want to go in a different direction..but if I leave it on...it's kinda disorienting. Also it's kinda hard to get that ideal view, even with the arrows. I had to constantly keep adjusting it for the game to even be playable.

One other issue I saw is since the camera is locked on, you cannot scroll across the map. While this is not a problem in itself, if you lose vision of your pet/skeletons from that one building, there is virtually no way to get them back to your hero.

Other flaws I know about is that with one race (one of the creep races, I forgot which one (I think murguls, but could be wrong)), can build free farms, making it extremely easy to evolve since you only needed to get resources.

One of the ogres ultimate upgrades let to a non hero unit, I'm not sure if this was intentional

One of the heros is quite broken, but as a result all of its other forms are quite weak (not really sure I like that). I forgot the hero name, but it was a ranged wizard with chaos damage that does like 100+ chaos damage, and I think he had 1500 range.

I noticed a lot of people got confused with your method of using food, and I think I know the source of the confusion. I'm guessing people think they only need 4 food limit, if the next upgrade only requires 4, because they would be losing the current unit in the process of said upgrade (so if you had a unit that cost 3, they think that they lose the 3 food unit, and then gain the 4 food unit, in that order), if that makes any sense. I think that might be source of peoples confusion.

I think there may be things I'm forgetting, but I can't remember them now. I hope this helps! Kinda sucks you don't know how it got approved so fast, I know we have been waiting months for his to get approved.

It has the name and copyright notice. Thank you MogulKahn, I will add credit to the artist. However, this would have been a much better conversation to have in private messages. Since, Kunkka made the art for Dota (an open source mod) I believe it was intended to be shared and reused as has been done many times. Also the copyright notice comes from deviant art, not kunkka, so I'm not even sure it applies. Please remove the content of your posts so that this thread is not filled with this off topic discussion.

As noted above the copyright has been "abandoned" and my use of it here I consider "fair use." Dota is not copyrightable and the art was given to dota as a coverscreen. Please stop posting replies publicly and contact me in PM.

Is cool, if only it had AI it would be better since I'd have a reason to grow; annihilating my enemies.

That's a good idea. If you want to write it, I will happily import it and add you to the credits. Currently, its really only fun as multi-player. But its kinda pretty and has nice sounds so single player won't be painfully boring.
 
When I become Goblin Blaster, I cannot pick up gold coins. It says I don't have an inventory so I cannot pick up gold coins

Oops, I fixed it. See New Update. There are a couple other bugs people pointed out too. This next version should be much cleaner. Thanks for pointing that out!

theresa huge game breaker wth the crypt lord hero

The carrin sumon respawn after dieing and the lord can summon another one. Then after a while you have a huge tide of respawing carrions if you take the book structure that spawn corpses.

I'm not sure I understand. I didn't change the carrion beatles or the carrion spell, so I don't know how this would be different from the usual game.

As for the corpse spawning from the summoning pedestal, that is on purpose. Its a hard creep-camp to kill but if you get it, you get skeleton soldiers to fight for you. But, someone else can fairly easily go and kill the pedestal and make it their own, So its actually fairly balanced.

THe problen is that when a carrion die, thew game somehow thinks its the pet, and respawn it on the start position, but doesnt count the carrion on the crypt lord five ones, letting he spawn more of then. It's more that. The bones respawning arent the problem, only if you exploit this respawn problen.

Edit: Trying the map alone, and it's good enough.
BTW, there are some errors on the tooltips. For example, the Shadow Wolf Upgrade and the Naga King Watery Minion Spell.
