So i tried to make a building have the root ability from the ancients buildings from night elf, and that worked fine, the problem is that they are still targeted like they were still ground units yet they can walk of cliff and basically work like flying units

When is rooted it works fine, it doesnt move, it produces fine, and unroots perfecly letting the building move, rotate and fly around, but the units that only targets ground units can still hit it.

How can i fix this????
I tried with Triggers but with no avail; It didn't worked.

(I know the conditions works because i tested it with pinging the map and every time it unroots it works)

The only thing it occurs to me is to make it invulnerable to all damage and make it a temporal unit with a timed life of 60 to force the player to land the building eventually if he doesn't want it to be destroyed, is not ideal not even close but is best of what i have right now.

I forgot to mention, but i also tried to use morphing abilties like the druid of the claw but when the building try to land and become a building once again it just breaks, it cannot produce anymore and the graphics looks like the building is being build.

This seems to work:

  • Unit - Set Unit: (Triggering unit)'s Integer Field: Targeted as ('utar') to Value: 2
For reference, 4 is targeted as air only, 2 for ground only, if you want other combinations of target types you can print the "targeted as" as an integer but those 2 should do the trick

Edit: if you have a separate building for the flying version, why not directly put "air" in the "targeted as" section?

AHHH At last...

Thanks you mate, thats was what i needed.

So, the reason why i didn't want to make two units was, for starters, is kinda annoying to work with. Secondly, when i tried the building broke when trying to land and couldn't produce units anymore. Again, Thank you.
