Heroes
You can choose between a varity of heroes. Each race is possible, play as human,
orc or whatever race you like. Don't find a race or hero you like?
Gimme your idea about a new Hero and I might add him to the Game!

I based the map of 4 basic Heroes, a Swordman, Warrior, Mage and Archer,
but many Friends and Players gave me some ideas and their Hero suggestions,
so there are over 10 Heroes for now. Each Hero has multiple forms,
that you can get by leveling it. The Hero can evolve in specific Levels,
and gain a new class skill aside with a new look.
Suggestions/Ideas

Ideas and suggestions to improve the map are always welcome!
If you want your own Hero on the map, then feel free to write me your ideas,
Hero or whatever you want to change or add.

This Map is still under development, so a lot of changes will follow, aside with new areas,
new features and more! You surely can take part of it, giving me ideas or posting bugs you've found,
so that I can solve them, and make the map even better, than it is!

OMG! I waited so freaking long for this update.. A year maybe?

hehe, sry dude, i'm still busy with important exams.. i'll add the new areas and all that stuff in april, i got a lot of free time there, so for now only some bugfixes, additions, a new hero, and some other improvements! enjoy


I want to keep it more user and public friendly, so if you have any ideas, or want something to have/see in the map? feel free to ask me!
(the map already contains many user suggested heroes and features)

I found some bugs: Str Knowledge, got a hotkey, but is a passive ability.
Multishot's hotkey does not work.
LifeLeech-Aura is called Vamp Aura in the status.
When you get the "brain-boost" all your spells disappear.
Healing ward also "heals" your mana.
Healing ward is way better than the +300 hp. Only costs 75 gold more, replenishes the whole teams hp (but not instant) the whole teams mana (but that is, if theyre near) and replenishes more than 300 hp.
And you spelled "munson" wrong. Its Monsoon.
Oh yeah! Nearly forgot. You can team attack. NOT GOOD!

Suggestions:
Add a spellbook! I know we talked about this... And it was not possible.. BUT PLEASE TRY!
You should save your gold and spells.
Does LifeLeech-Aura and Mask of Death stack? I dont know, alot of other people probably does not know either!

thanks a lot for your reply, i will try to overwork and fix most stuff you mentioned tomorrow or later (got no time the next two weeks, so you have to wait, if I can't work tomorrow or wednesday on it)

for the spellbook.. i think you need to wait a bit longer for it, i'm going to change a bit of the spells system, adding more categories, which reduces the spells in each category (for now there are 10-12 spells for each category (range, melee and mage) i will more distribute them into something like passive, summon, magic, etc. so it makes it possible for spell books, you get one for each category..

ok found some time to fix the minor stuff:

but i also have some questions..

the hotkey of multishot should work? i didn't changed anything on it, because it was set to "M" and the Hotkey is "M" according to the description.

What exactly do you mean with the "brain-boost" part?
(If you mean the evolutions, it's supposed to be like that)

Healing Ward is also supposed to Heal both, Health and Mana, edited description of it, nd changed items (cost, effect)

Spellbooks will come in next Version

Okay... The brain-boost is okay I guess...

Suggestions: At the stage 2... You should make it like there will be a new wave every minute... (because me n my friend usally wait like 5 minutes before a new wave begins, EVEN if we killed all the creeps!) And at boss lvls there is 3 minutes to kill it until the next wave begins. Also, why is the king invurnable? It shud be like its him you should protect, and not the castle.

You should add a -skip command, so you could start the game at the start, instead of waiting the 1:30 mins before it starts. (maybe add the command to stage 2 too?)
And my friend is a ranger, and he is nearly a better tank than me! Cuz of hes a agi user, and upgrades his agi attribute alot, and therefore gets alot of armor. Then I thought, what if you got bigger hp regen if you upgrade str as str as your primary attribute, bigger ms if youre a agi user. And bigger mana regen as a int user?
AAAND, it would be cool if the creeps came from all the sides at the first stage, and the bosses (except the stone one) came from the normal entrance. (This idea was from my friend.)

hmm strange, next lvls begin within some seconds like 10-15seconds, on each stage.. the countdown of these 10-15 seconds starts after all monsters are killed, so you don't need to be fast or two lvls will overun you.. that was the main idea..

i don't add a skip command, because i've noticed that not everyone is as smart as he could, so it takes some time, that all players have used their stat points and the command for it.. that's why i added this wait time on the beginning, it's time to load heroes, and to get that new players to type "-stats" that's the hard part, sometimes not all check it o_O that's really weird

for the archer part.. maybe decrease the basic HP of the archer so he always has some lower HP, but if he spams into agi, he usually shouldn't have a lot of HP, so maybe i add some special stuff to creeps.. however, let me see what I can do =)

i'm really wondering what map you play xD i never noticed this kind of bugs, not even in one of my hosts, and all was fine.. I don't know what you're doing lol

Well... We killed all the creeps at stage 2... And we did it 4 times, every time the same thing happens. After 5 mins the stage begins... Usally

- fixed the Siege mode Spawns
- fixed some glitches with the Hero Glow
- added some new effects
- fixed some small glitches with the triggers

Stuff to go:
- I will add more spells, and categorize them into 6 groups,
which makes it possible to add spellbooks
- Some more fixes and improvements of Gameplay

Yeah it's kinda strange. Maybe they don't like the name, or don't know what's it.

I suggest, if you host it use some more active names, and you surely get players in, i normally can play with 5+ players :)

try:
Hero Arena!

and so on, just try some names, people want to see or like, Hero Arena's are very welcome in b.net, so people will join (and it's a arena xD so it fits perfect ;D )

i just have a question, it stands that sugested players are any, but when i try singleplayer it says not enough players.:ain:

lol, yeah, to prevent cheating on the map, like getting high lvl heroes with "whosyourdaddy" cheat or similar ones.. so no singleplayer is allowed..

and the "any" party stands for any other players you can find, so you host it, and any other players are fine, so you can play with just 1 other player or with fullhouse, which makes more fun =) (=more monsters, =harder, =more items, etc)

I buy a damage spell it says a aoe spell instead of just a damage spell and it never shows up. Actually it was weirder than that. Eventually all I got was "aoe" spells but magically my roots storm bolt and shadow strike were all maxed and if I tried buying any damage spells it would continuously go bat swarm chain lightning and blizzard.

Yeah i just saw i mixed up the two spell categories, have to fix this, used the old spells which i spread into the categories and added some new spells. some categories still not filled to the max, so more spells will follow. some could have only 4, but it should be ok, because you can have 3 categories.. I'll fix that, as fast as i can.

Added hidden code now. When I have time I'll add some screenshots.

fixed that information mistake with the damage spell
-> icon will be fixed soon (seems to be DISBTN instead of BTN)

I will add some more spells soon!
Especially for melee and damage. (Only 3-5 spells for now)

tested the tamer for now and well...got some suggestions:

-more CUSTOM spells...they are almost all (slightly) edited wc3 standard spells
-higher skill levels( at least 5 or something)
-get at least a small refund if your random spell is already maxed.
-more summons =O
-lvl 2 falcon is actually more effective than the lvl 3 falcon ( the 2 lesser ones have way more dmg and hp combined but they cost lesser mana)
-a better spell for the upgraded tamer =/ 20%dmg+3armor/40%dmg+5armor for like 20 secs isnt much for summons. =O would be way more effective if you could cast it on yourself.
-u get later like 100k wood and nothing to spent to. maybe make a trade icon like 1000wood for 100/50 gold or something.
-divine shield is with its 45secs very OP
-more levels =P

thanks for your suggestions and ideas.. here are some answers, what's gonna be changed and what not..

- I was lazy and added just some normal skills, and later added some slightly edited ones.. now with the new Spellsystem it's possible to add a lot more Spells. I will add some more custom Spells in future versions! (Also cause some categories only have like 3-5 spells for now)

- I thought of that, let's see when I will add this, but could take a bit, I will overwork most Spells and firstly want to fill up all categories with Spells. So at the end we have 66 Spells in total. So we have about 178 Spell levels, should be enough for now, but I will add more later.

- There was no need for now, because you get enough Wood. I will change a bit of the wood-gain system and add some formulars to balance it for higher level heroes. When this happens I will add some refund system for Maxed spells, but it won't be much, cause it's just random and you have to be lucky to get your skills, a loss of money included.

- As said above I will rework most Spells to make them better.

- This won't be castable on yourself, because it would be senseless :p You're and Summoner, so following to that Summons are the main Spells and the main Damagesource for you. So you have to push them to make them better, I will think about the Spell or improve it. As said above, I will rebalance some stuff and improve it, especially for the Tamer Hero, which focus should be in his summoned minions.

- As already mentioned above, I will implement some more specific formulars to balance the wood-gain system, and also will add more Items later. This Game can be improved a lot. It's still not finished and in development, Can't say BETA status, but it still needs a lot of improvements and fixes as well as other stuff.

- Yeah I already heared that, and will fix it, as said above *lol* I'll overwork most spells

- More levels will follow later, after some improvements of the already existing areas.. you can also suggest stuff here, what you want to see or have in the map. Like some specific areas or spells or Heroes, there're still some spots left, that can be used ;)

loved your map so far, can't wait for more stuff and more areas to be added to it. My friend and I have been making our clan members play with us lol. can't think of any ideas off the top of my head right now, but when I do i'll be sure to post them

I know.. first I'll fix some bugs and edit some parts to make it work better and smoother..
And when I have time I'll add more spells and maybe increase max spell-lvl to 5.
Also I'll change the waves to make it more filled with action.. like giving them small spells, or create some special effects and strange stuff, so not every wave is the same..

Enjoyed playing this map , hosted on garena and played as a human swordsman lv37.
Here are some of my suggestion:
-Skills damage should be in proportion to hero level.
-Hotkeys for each spell books & the spells inside the spell book for easier access to spells (eg. q,w,e,r for the first row of skills)
-Difficulty setter because the monsters are too easy for higher level loader
-Add higher level items to the shop (eg.full heal pot?)
-Better class ability for each hero
-Changed the name of ''melee'' spell to ''single-strike'' spell since most players gets confused with the meaning
-Put a new loading screen image?

There were some error in the game :
-Both entangle roots and shadow strike used [R]
-Carrion swarm hotkey is wrong
-Arrowrain name looks weird
-When all tents in the 2nd area are destroyed , no more waves are produced and the games doesn't progress anymore
-BloodElf does not have any spellbook

Replayed countless times and still find it enjoyable.
Thanks for the map and hope to see more heroes and levels in the future.

I'm trying o fix old versions and improve them a little bit.
And mainly I try to revive my unfinished projects/maps and hopefully finish them some days.

But I can say some bigger update will follow the next days. I want to add and change a few things to make it even more fun,
maybe I'll also add new levels and a new area :) we'll see! but for now, have fun playing!!

BTW, there are still some free Hero slots :]

I played this map and found it real good.

ahm a think some hotkeys for the skills are wrong
like the hot key for fire arrow,snake,..etc :vw_unimpressed:
and oh yeah the tamer skill says only targets wards, i trid it on the snakes,,,
but says immune to magic,only works for quilboars and falcons, i think...
since as you have said its a buff for summons could you make it available for the bear and the snakes too..:vw_wtf:

also in the second area the castle defense part
the bottom lane had a tight gap between the towers, heros can't go through
but the soldier spawns can, making our hero travel from mid to bottom. :goblin_jawdrop:

i also noticed that your character changes appearance from lvl 10,25....
and when that happens you lose all your learnt skills, which is a bummer.
could you make it so that, you wont lose your skills. :thumbs_up:

and suggestions: ^^,
maybe as your class changes you can buy a bit stronger random skills.
i think its much nicer to think that your skills get stronger as you do.
its a bit boring to know that a high lvl character has equal skills as a lowbie.
this might also solve the problem for tons of lumber but can't buy any new
skills. its like having rank 1 skills,rank2,rank3, etc... (haha that's alot
of work). :ogre_kawaii:

AND of course, more items to buy,maybe add dropable items from boss
monsters. and oh yeah combination items ^^
and ohh i support the lumber for gold hichic..:ogre_haosis:
