I did go on the MMH site and hosted a game. But still I can't find the game on lan... I tried to go on Bnet but warcraft said my cd key was wrong. How do i fix this problem?

Wait were you playing through garena? If so I can't help you. You likely need a valid CD key, as MMH uses Bnet.

Then MMH must be an unpopular bot since no one nowadays owns a legit war3 lol.
Many people do, myself included, if you wanna be a cheapass who won't spend 10 bucks for battlechest then that's your choice. MMH does pretty well and 90% of the people who use it speak English which is nice.

Bugs: Aethas Sunweaver's fire elemental doesn't benefit from the upgrade the blood sorceresses gets, so you have 4 stronger ones and one regular one.
Wretched Kael still summons regular elven workers which can make regular buildings and units with only a handful missing.
Farstriders can't be trained from townhalls unlike the blood sorceresses, not sure if that was intended but just making the world aware.
And as a reminder in case you forgot, those other ogres that twilight owns at the start (mor'gosh or something like that) can't be trained without the other ogre's mound.

Idea: As it stands some people are becoming reluctant (myself included) to restore the well now what with all the negatives it brings. Maybe as an incentive for restoring the sunwell (other than the whole no more wretched thing), give the well the ability to recall the light bridge like you did for dalaran but only allow the controls to work when it's controlled by the elves, much like what you have set up with its revive spell. This is another defense measure considering once red decides to restore it, it become s giant glowing beacon of "hey come kill me to make your hero uber".

Curiosity: Hey marsh I know you have your own life and what not but nobody seems to know where the hell you are and you've been gone a long time.

Hey, I went MIA because I had finished the events around Dragonmaw Clan but then was taken hostage by a game called Sim City for a few weeks! lol But I'm burned out with SC now and back onto LTA.


Kogan as always thanks for the bug reporting its so useful! Those you mentioned, including the major bug you sent me privately have been fixed now and yes Farstriders are supposed to be trainable at townhalls.

Thanks to Kogan, Scroll of Town Portals will no longer target Control Points! He made me realize just how this can be abused to easily destroy major important buildings by sneaking huge armies in.

Regarding the hacked versions, i'm currently using the Map optimiser to compress the map which has the added bonus of "protecting" it but clearly people are finding ways to get around that. Anyone got any ideas what programs I can use to increase protection?

(Coloured by faction)

-Aethis Sunreaver and his Sunreavers are a capturable mini faction for Blood Elves. They gain Sunreaver Command or Sunreaver Sanctuary in Dalaran depending upon their alliance status. Aethis is a non reviveable bonus hero.

-MAJOR EVENT: Argent Crusade can restore Lordaeron gaining various benefits, new unit types and bases. Their name is changed to New Lordaeron. (late game event)

- MAJOR EVENT: Twilights Cult start off as Dragonmaw Clan now, if Overlord Mor'ghor dies player can choose between two paths: Twilights clan or Joining the Horde.(Early game event)

-Sally Whitemaine and Scarlet Monastery (Previously Tirisfal Monastery will be capturable for Scarlet Crusade Players.

-Very late game event where Jaina returns to Lordaeron as described in the lore of Mists of Pandaria follwing the destruction of Theramore (How this event is triggered will remain a "mystery" :) )

-Minor event: If for some reason Dalaran goes to war against Argent Crusade Varessa Windrunner will go to her husband, Rhonin's side to protect and fight alongside him.

- Forsaken has the new Minor Quest: Conquer Gilneas. If Sylvanas captures Gilneas city she gains a gold award and a large base of operations within Gilneas Region. Further extending her reach throughout Lordaeron.

Thank you everyone who made these event suggestions! I hope you will enjoy how they are represented in game. You may think their isnt much new stuff in next version but my main focus right now is balance and bug fix.




so where are the arugal/worgen events i suggested? please tell me that it wasnt discarded...

The event where you rescue Lorna Crowley was included as you suggested :) But even though Worgen are powerful, Dalaran's ability to teleport all over map is just too tempting for most people so very rarely have people gone Worgen and I ahve never seen anyone complete the rescue Lorna event...



Based on all I've seen, I have one question, how on Earth do you fit all those imports into the one map without going over 8MB?

It was loading fine up until the end where after it had finished it went a black screen and I had to restart the computer. It was v1.15a.

Sorry footman none of my maps are compatable with MAC machines, I already looked into this issue. I compress the skins up to 40% for some reason macs dont like compressed BLPs like this.

And as you mentioned how I get so much in a map, most of them are various skins over default wc3 models, its amazing how much you can make a model look like a new one just by changing its skin. I only use good quality fairly low file size models in my maps. The map is also compressed using a compression tool who's name I forget now.


Idea: As it stands some people are becoming reluctant (myself included) to restore the well now what with all the negatives it brings.

I added some very powerful abilities for the Sunwell to help red defend it last version, bottom line is if BE wants to stay in the Alliance he will need the Sunwell, Blood Elves are supposed to be a tough and dangerous challenge to play. If you don;t restore Sunwel Kael stays a huge target as people want the Essence. New Dalaran is different and is supposed to be really hard to siege.


GRAPHICS BUG WARNING

Important: If you get a black screen graphics bug (and you are not using a mac), then check your WC3 video settings, they should be on high. This game is not meant to be played on low settings as it uses costum glows and effects.

Thanks again for everyone's support and ideas! The map will get better with time.

Great news, so, no release date?

I don't have the final say on this, but the release will most likely be within the next two weeks as there are still a few triggering related things to work out and any final touches that need working out; after that the map should be ready to be released as a stand alone version.

yea dalaran and its teleporting crap may be very tempting but if u could make worgen equally tempting by adding a demigod type unit event (endgame) for them it might turn the tide. Like goldrinn (Father of the Worgen Curse) and adding the scythe of elune for arugal (buffs health and intellect), and making shadowfang keep an actual base (maybe a portal base? only avaialable for worgen path) it could change the "everyone goes dalaran problem".

i mean otherwise might as well just remove the worgen path if its gonna pale in comparison to the others.

Bugs: I'm not sure if you've ever seen this but I see it happen ALOT with Kael and Maiev, where the hero acts as if you used shift and que'd a bunch of commands despite that you're outright moving the units. Yes I have made sure that I wasn't holding the shift key and the only reason I'm posting it is that some other people have been complaining about it too, otherwise I would have assumed it was on my end. This is very annoying and can lead to stupid and easily avoided deaths.
I'm sure you have a reason for not letting Kalecgos in air form capture cps, but the red dragons can.

Also red dragons cannot be recruited from wyrmcrest which is weird considering that is the location Alexstrasza smokes all day. This currently means the only way to get red dragons is from the small dragon nest in twilight land. Which brings me to my next point; why can Kalecgos only spawn green and bronze and no red? Last dragon note, I know there aren't many blue dragons left in lore, but surely there's enough for them to show up as part of the wyrmcrest event.

There is more to it yes. If after going worgen and you manage to hold your lands for a bit (I've never seen the message pop-up if purp lost silverlaine keep), you get prompted with a mission to save Lorna Crowley from the Deathknell. After destroying it, you must take her back to Gilneas Keep, where upon Darius Crowley will join you. Darius is pretty friggin' good but he's unrevivable. He comes at level 8 and shares the same Ulti as Kalecgos, the spell reseter. This combimed with a command aura as well as windwalk and a shadowstrike makes him one cheeky hero, but of course his downside is that he's a worgen hero (worgen of course being the less sexy path) that relies upon purp beating pink which neigh impossible if pink doesn't hand it to him, seriously you let sons of arugal be charmable?).

As clarification, yes this is currently in 1.15, what will be added for 1.16 I'm still not 100% on.

Thanks Koga... I get it but I still think that Gilneas is weaker and certainly not as attractive as the New Dalaran. (7th legion ... i am waiting on you :)) but I'm glad that at least is not forgotten and that it is still working. Anyway, thanks Marshmalow.

Excuse me if i can make a suggestion about worgen, i think that there is somewhere in lore that there is a worgen "tribe" in northrend somewhere near the west coast its called wolfcut lair maybe you can remove those annoying tuskars and place there a capturable "base" for worgen

What I'm planning to do is entail three core modes that are choose able at the start, might narrow it down to two though; we'll see.
Roleplay would feature completely freeform alliances, name changes and etc; so people can be content to their hearts desire. Lore based will have historical alliances/factions/heroes and names.

Good versus evil will most likely be: Forsaken, Legion, Scourge, COTD, Dragonmaw Clan, Dark Horde

vs

Alliance factions, Horde and Trolls. Obviously trolls are more evil than good but for the sake of balance that is how it must be.

So basically RP mode is just going to be super awesome?

It would be awesome. Just saying this as an idea. That you could turn on Second War version. Where the entirety of the game is switched over into Orcish Horde vs Alliance of Lordaeron or the third war.

But eh. I am a dreamer.

I will add red Dragons to Wyrmrest Temple. But the Blue Dragons are represented via Kalegcos's presence.

is Alexstrasza (the life binder) in the game and if she is how to summon her ?

Originaly Alexstrasza was planned to be Dalaran's Wyrmest Accord hero but she would have been way too powerful given her incredible importance in lore, she would have had to be as powerful as DW which would have caused balance issues so hence why Kalegcos was used instead.

I like the other worgen stuff and having them as a second chance isn't a bad idea (you might wanna make new dalaran a bit easier to kill in that event), but wouldn't that mean purple would have to defend silverlaine keep all game, seeing how that's the only way to unleash the curse as of this version? It dies in 80% of matches as is, if it became important beyond the first 30 seconds it might get destroyed even more. Of course this could be easily solved by allowing it to spread in another manner. What of the hapless player who released Arugal before going new dalaran? Would he be able to get him back?

I have an idea, how about rolling with this whole second chance idea and removed worgen as a starting path all together? Make it so at the fall of dalaran the player must track down an item (only spawns for purple) that would allow him to spread the curse to Gilneas (which would be invulnerable until the worgen curse, after all that friggin greymane wall survived 2 wars, how can people suddenly smash it down?)

Please do not give Gilneas as a second chance. I am a huge fan of Gilneas and all here know that second chances are often a harbinger of losses.

If you do not have ideas or know how to do it. I will help you but leave it as an option opposite the New Dalaran.

Of course I can not forbid you something but this is my opinion. When you do it so please do Gilneas difficult to conquer. Greymane wall is completely useless in this version and make more complex terrain throughout Gilneas (like Cataclysm Gilneas) with multiple control points.

I see you added scarlet events, maybe you could do one more for the sake of lore?
Mardenholde keep did not become part of any faction until Taelan pledged it to the Crusade in order for him to prove his loyalty to their cause. So you see where I'm going with this, let it be a capture-able base for scarlet where they also gain Taelan. This puts red at a potential 5 (Saiden, Alex, Sally, Garithos, and now Taelan, and I still say Isllien should be a scarlet hero). The base would be aquired by capturing Andorhal and researching an upgrade on it call requisition Mardenholde, which would provide some upgrade for the crusades (Hearthglen was a key economic factor for the Crusade), the base, and the hero.
This might sound weird but listen to it. Most players will likely still skip scarlet and go straight for Argent, but what if the more events you did as scarlet, the more rewards there were for Agrent? Say if you got Sally and Taelan, they gained a bonus hero for Argent. This will mean they'll at least fight for a bit to get their bonus.

Bear in mind it's "potential" heroes, as me may not have some, such as Garithos. Plus I'm pretty sure all but one is non-revivable so it's basically like being silverhand.
On the not of Silverhand, anyone else annoyed that Isllien's levels go nowhere? I've take to suiciding him at the start so Tirion and Saiden get more levels which will carry over when I can go scarlet and the argent.
But he's right, it doesn't have to be heroes, for example Tirion could gain some bonus levels if scarlet managed to acquire mardenholde as it was his fief until his expulsion.

Also the base north of southshore isn't call tauren mill, it's tarren mill.
Voidsight on the dreads shares the same hotkey as hold position.

Purposed and shot down already, he wants to keep the paths as is, though he's open to changing the path itself.

Bug: If Scarlet goes risen while alex is still alive, he doesn't spawn for gray.

i tryied to use them on my map but they are really huge. My maps took 70 Mb. :)
Well some of the better model makers like Paradise will condense the crap outta the models and make them a fraction of their file size, but again people play the map for how well made, thought out, and progressive it is (in the sense that there's always big changes), but because it has super fancy models. I say leave them as is and only import models as needed, like for deathwing. He woulda looked stupid as a regular black dragon, but works here.

Edit: A few others and I got to talking, and we came to this conclusion; Illidan is bland, especially for a mega hero (mega hero being defined as any hero that has over 2k base health regardless of level or items). Immolation is boring and dangerous as it makes him get close, the fel blade thing while an interesting thought also involves being uncomfortably close, and mana burn is ok. His ulti is his best ability by far only because it makes him ranged. Maybe for the outlands path (1.17) or even sooner, you could consider spicing him up a bit?
