Very good map!I have a question though..why there isn't an Orc Race?

Well, you have to remember this map is set at the begining of "The Frozen Throne" campaign, there where very few Orcs still present in Lordaeron at this time, most of them had been set free from their internment camps and traveled with Thrall to Kalimdor, so putting them in wouldnt make sense.

There are Fel Orcs present at Alterac mountains who still worship the Legion Demonic gods but if I was going to be 100% lore accurate they should'nt be there either. These Orcs were actually killed by Arthas and Kel'Thuzad in the RoC campaign but I kept them in for balance purposes and because they're an interesting race.

The next version will include Ice Trolls who will provide The Amani Trolls with an ally as many people had complained they had to solo it.

Development is back on and I am currently terraining Northrend!

Currently no plans to add Kalimdor no. If we were to add Kali that would make the map HUGE! We only have 2 player slots left and that isnt enough to accurately populate Kali. I also think it would make the map too similar to Azeroth Wars LR.

If we were going to expand the map we may expand it down by adding all the southern Estern Kingdoms and Outland but this is a long way off yet.

I really like the terraining here. It seems you have put in a lot of effort! I especially liked how you made the Undercity. Really cool!

It's a cool map,especially terrains, but there is a few bugs such like:
Greymane is invulnerable after researching.
Elfs still transforms in wretcheds after alliance with Legion.
Risen path has Galen Trollbane.
Kil'jaeden can summon portal and golems in the place there is heroes are placed.
And also you can block any entrance in dungeon.

-Fixed greymane invulnerable

-Wretched plague now checks whether Legion is allied to Blood elf.

-Galen Trollbane ownership will transfer to yellow if Galen is still alive when LB goes wretched.

-Book Summon will no longer work within the twisting Nether. However Kil'Jaden is supposed to be able to open Lesser portals within the Nether. Otherwise Gray can summon him at start of game and just gank him by going into the portal.

-What dungeons do you mean, Dalaran dungeons have pathing around them to stop people towering around portals.

I think that he shouldn't open portal in that place,there is a photo of this place so you can understand about what I'm saying.

-What dungeons do you mean, Dalaran dungeons have pathing around them to stop people towering around portals.
When I said dungeon, I meant Scholomance,Jintha'Alor e.t.c., there is a photo of Scholomance blocking.

Also would be cool if you will make Felblood event for Kael and his elvs.

When I said dungeon, I meant Scholomance,Jintha'Alor e.t.c., there is a photo of Scholomance blocking.

LOL it amazes me how people always find ways to abuse the game, thanks both of those will be fixed in version 1.10 :)

Also would be cool if you will make Felblood event for Kael and his elvs.

Well they sort of have that by allying Legion but I agree, when I have time I would like for red to get a new event where he can completely go Fel Elves and ally Teal.

But next version will include Twillights Hammer Clan to the south as a playable new race.

Hey Marshmalo and Goblinkingsp, you know that i really like this map, but i think that the silverhand is somewhat stolen, cause they have 3 changes to "live" and the other don't..

i have think in some thing, that i think is really cool for the map

Suggestion

1. Add the Scarlet Crusade,with this Remove the control of the Silver and of this points the Monastery and Tyr's Hand, and when have that silver hand outpost nearly the forsaken base, make that a Scarlet base( i suggestion this too, cause the silver hand have many heros, and them cannot die, so become difficult control them, and if the Scarlet is add, they will be a alone facction,like they are, but powerful)
-if the Scarlet is add,make a base for them in Sthaholme, if they destroy the city they can the control of there

2. Make Vereesa come for the Silverhand,by an Event, and if choose her, lose Garithos( cause he don't like elfs)

3. If Galen Trollbane is killed by the forsakem, Sylvanas Gain him as Champiom of the Banshee Queen

Well the Scarlet crusade is already in the game as an event for Silverhand, I don't see the need to add another player when it already exists in game. I don't think it's unfair that they get 3 chances to surive, Silverhand start off in a very vulnerable position and usualy die to Cult and Scourge.

But I agree they have too many heroes at start, 5 is abit much I will see how I can change that without them loosing any.

Good idea I like it! I will try and include it in next update.

Another good point, Sylvanas would never allow Kil'Jaeden ro enter azeroth. I'll make it so they unally permanently if he summons.

Cult of the Damned are not supposed to summon the legion, they are enemies. I will remove the ability to summon from Kel'Thuzad.

As for Kael, he is only supposed to Summon if he's allied to Teal, I think Blood Elves getting control of Kil'Jaeden if he summons would be overpowered. I will amke it so Kael can onl summon if he has gone Fel Elves.

I agree I will increase the cost to repair gates to make it so players can't just keep on repairing them.

True there's no point in the Sacrificial Pit anymore.

Thanks for your feedback! The refugees slot will be used by the new faction thats coming into the map. Next release will feature Twilights Hammer Clan in the Twilight Highlands! (See Screen shot)

i just mencioned this, cause the silver hand is the only facction that have a "second" chance to live, and add the scarlet crusade, do that the silver hand lose some heros for the scarlet(like the scarlet are stonger, they won't fall so easy for the cult of the damned and the other facctions)
i see that u are planing put the menethil port, why don't put they for the silver hand too, and the tyr's hand and monastery go the scarlet crusade.
the gameplay with the scarlet and the silver hand can become more coolest

Light Blue already gets Varessa by going Argent Dawn.
i know this, but can do this, for make an event for the silverhand, cause they don't have an event in the game, "just survival and kill the undead"

nice screenhot, so the twilights Hammer Clan will be purple and dalaran orange?

Few problems gates are uber. Especially when used by an AI. You can't ever hit them because they keep opening and closing too fast. Maybe adding a delay may fix this. Also blood elves lose units to wretched fairly quickly....

Also adding in some units to the Blood Elves might be quite awesome once you capture silvermoon, like blood knights. That way they can get the much needed heals they need.

Hi, quick question first: You built AI in this map? I am looking at previous posts and they all talk about AI o_O


Bugs: Trolls wards do not heal hakkar. Without this, he heals incredibly slowly, even though hex has a heal.


Suggestions: Yellow is currently the most OP player in game. Either weaken his position in the south, or add another enemy for him to fight (twilight?)

Give pink a base north if he gains the valkery. Right now, the event has little use for pink, and so normally she won't even go there.

Grey is the most disliked race from what i have seen, because he has little to no events. Nax event is just a building, and the tarbek event is not worth it, because breaking into dalaran is extremely difficult, far harder than getting the Kiljean or Hakkar or Super Troll king or Lich King, BUT tarbek is a just a normal unit. Sure, he becomes stronger with upgrades, but currently he is far weaker than the other heroes but far harder to gain.

Give dark green an event if he takes silvermoon or quelthalas. Currently, every DG player i see abandons amani because there is no even for them there and they all want the super troll king animal god event.

Purple needs more events and needs to be stronger. Currently there is no way for him to fight pink and the only way for him to survive is if pink is noob, especially when teal helps with orcs from felorc in alterac.

Remove Kiljeans ability to talk on water. He is already very hard to kill. This makes it impossible.



Basically, more events for every race, especially ones that require them to move out of their normal zones=p


But i really love the map, and the terrain (especially the feeling i get from silverpine area, prefect terrain) I am so happy you guys are making this :) Keep it up!

MAJOR CHANGES/EVENTS IN NEXT VERSION:

-Fully Playable Twilight Clan faction
-Twilight Clan will be able to free Deathwing and the Old Gods.

-Blood Elves will be able to turn to "Fel Elves" by allying Legion, but in doing so they will be permanently kicked out the Alliance.
-Blood Elves will be able to train Blood Knights by Capturing Silvermoon.

-Dalaran will be able to gain the Allegiance of the Wyrmrest Accord by destroying Malygos and bringing the Focusing Iris to Wyrmrest Temple.

-Dwarves will be able to go down a Dark Iron Dwarfe path but by doing so will be kicked out the Grand Alliance.

-Green (Formerly Jintha'Alor Trolls) will now instead be Horde, their bases will include: Dragonmaw Port, Krazzworks, Revan Tusk Village and Warsong Hold.

-Dark Green (Formerly Amani Trolls) will have control of Jintha'Alor instead of Green.

-Scarlet Crusade (Light Blue) will be able to Forge the Ashbringer.

-Cult of the Damned (Gray) will be able to resurrect Highlord Mograine as a death knight hero and gain the Asbringer if Scarlet loose him.
-Kel Thuzad will be able to be revived through his Phylactery.

I don't see the point in adding Scarlet Crusade as a player when the faction is already there as an event, that would be taking away an event for Silverhand. Also it wouldn't make sense lore wise, Scarlet Crusade wasn't present during TFT campaigns, they were created after the fall of the Silverhand.

I agree Silverhand need more events, that's why they'll be gaining events surrounding the Ashbringer Sword :)

I am thinking of just having it so gates can not be repaired once destroyed but the game is NOT supposed to be played with AI, its a multiplayer game not vs computer.

BE loosing wretcheds are fine, playing BE is not supposed to be easy.

Also adding in some units to the Blood Elves might be quite awesome once you capture silvermoon, like blood knights. That way they can get the much needed heals they need.

Interesting... yes I like that idea, I will add them as the heavy melle unit choice for Blood Elves, their holy light abilities will require the restored Sunwell.

I've noticed very few BE players seem to bother using the Elite unit choice: Sorcerers. Do they suck, do they need a boost?

Dalaran gets a new event next version but I keep telling people, purple must be pro-active!
either go get new Dalaran or if you choose to stay in Lordaeron and fight pink then go Worgen and take Gilneas. Too many times purple players just sit there trying to fight Pink without getting any events then moan when they die. I will change Dalarans intro to make sure they know they need to move and not just sit there.

But i really love the map

I would like to make some more suggestions for events/ changes


-Make legion and all its allies permanently unally pink 5 minutes after Kil'Jean is summoned.

-Make silvanas a super-hero if she kills the frozen throne

-Give green a redeemed Jubei + alterac base if he kills legion's blackrock demongates

-Require Kael to be a certain level (maybe 6) before he has the option of joining legion or naga, to keep the game more balanced for the early portion


-Give purple Jailor Kassar (forget his name) if he clears dalaran dungeons of the naga. Doing so will also not allow red to ally naga as they will all be dead


-If red allies naga, teleport him north to the western tip of northrend. Right now, all nagas just portal camp the dalaran dungeon and it is VERY difficult to break the choke, especially when he towers at the portal. Have red also ally legion if he goes naga.

-Have yellow's darkiron path require one of his heroes to be a certain level before he can take the path (especially if darkiron allies him with twilight)

-Have varithamas join Pink regardless of who kills him (right now i have never seen a pink actually make him join)

-If green takes southshore then he gains a Syndicate hero (former alterac traitors who side with the horde)

-Buff the Abomination grey gets if he travels to Anub and Dalaran dungeon, because it is so difficult to get to dalaran and the unit should be a hero after all that work to get there

In Next Version Forsaken will unally Legion as soon as Legion finishes summon and will not be able to ally back!

I'll make it so she gains a decent amount of EXP when throne dies but don't think the game needs anymore imba Heroes.

Blackrock orcs have been removed next version, they shouldnt really be there anyway as they were all killed in ROC. I only put them there because I wanted to inlclude fel orcs but now we have Twilight Clan we don't need them anymore.

But I do need more ideas for Horde events

-Require Kael to be a certain level (maybe 6) before he has the option of joining legion or naga, to keep the game more balanced for the early portion

I think half the problem is Naga have no where to go, in ater versions I hope to add outland so Illidari will travel to outland which should fix this.

LB already starts off with Jailor Kassar, if I did this then hardly anyone would get the chance to go Illidari as 905 of the time they'd be dead!

After you told me this I've now made it so Dalaran dungeon entrance can not be towered, this should make it harder for Illidari to wall themselves in.

Thats how it was afew versions back but it seemed like every game teal would loose Varimathras so it was changed so only Pink could kill him. Perhaps now with pink unallying legion when he gets Kil Jaden will mean we see more of Forsaken vs Legion? Lets wait and see.

COMPLETE

-Cult of the Damned (Gray) will be able to resurrect Highlord Mograine as a death knight hero and gain the Asbringer if Scarlet loose him.
-Kel Thuzad will be able to be revived through his Phylactery.

-Green (Formerly Jintha'Alor Trolls) will now instead be Horde, their bases will include: Dragonmaw Port, Krazzworks, Revan Tusk Village and Warsong Hold.

No I don't know what to do about the gates yet :(

Launch date should be in afew weeks, sorry trying to get it finished as soon as possible!

Sylvanas can always ally Horde via the -ally command but I havnt added any events for her to join yet.

Hey, I made this account specially for this post, i just wanted to say that i love your map and i can't wait to see the futures updates !

I really like the events of the map, like the summoning of hakkar, or the constitution of the abomination for grey, even if i have never seen any of the pieces, where are they ahah ? :p

And when do you think you will release the next update ?

Thank you so much, the next update is massive as seen on the patch notes but I hope to have it released Sunday next week (25th August).

I've just been working with Doomlord and he was able to eliminate the 1 second lag caused every minute by the income timer! So hopefully the map should be less laggy now.

Most people have trouble seeing where the abomination pieces are, they don't even know what their looking for. The item looks like an abomination head swinging on a spike. there are 3 and they can be found in Scholomance, Ajol Nerub and Dalaran Dungeons.

In next update Tartek will be a hero and much more powerful :)

When dark green researches the kill the Animal Gods event, he gets those 3 items yeah?But when he uses one and then the summoning begins,but if the player stops it of some reason before the animal god appears, the item of animal god will vanish.

Dun Modr can be taken, I mean if a player takes control of it, some players can use it to make units. And not only Dwarves I saw that Legion can use it too.

Also, about Dalaran dungeons timer after Rhonin enters them.When 10 mins have passed nothing much happens.Also, I dont get the use of Book of Medivh padestal it doesn't have any use as far as I saw I tried to bring book of medivh to it, it didn't help even with Rhonin.

One more thing. A suggestion: if Zul'jin gets to the Sunwell at level 10 he could become a Demi-God and/or Hexx could get the ability to summon Ghar'zilla at level 10, I mean he would have to choose Ghar'zilla or Hakkar.

P.s. If there were grammar mistakes, I am sorry.

Hey, thanks for that the animal gods bug can easily be fixed! Will fix it for next update.

Anything past the Thandol Span, including Dun Modr, in version 1.09 is not working and will be ready in next version.

I put the Book Pedestool in for lore reasons as it used to house the Book of medeiven, it never crossed my mind to have it linked to any event. What do you have in mind?

To be honest I don't know much about the Dalaran timer quest, I didn't trigger it but I agree it needs looking at, I'll see what I can do.

Trolls already have 2 demi god heroes, Hakkar and King Malak with animal gods. I think another one might be alittle op?
But I like the idea of Trolls getting something when they take Sunwell, it would encourage the troll player to attack Quel'Thalas and fight Blood Elves. Not sure what though.

Now about the Book of Medivh, maybe you could input an event, like When Rhonin reaches level 10 and brings the Book of Medivh to its padestal, he could get an upgraded ultimate spell(or another ultimate in the place of the old one) or power generators could get the upgrade to get upgraded to anti-undead aura generators and if any of Kirin Tor or Archmage goes near them they could actvate a channeling spell, which activates the generator.

About the Dalaran timer, the first time i saw it i thought it would restore the old Dalaran, but nothing happened, so that was weird, the only thing that happened a message that Dalaran dungeons have been cleaned or saved(can't remember it now).

About the Trolls, at least after taking the Sunwell, trolls could get enchanced power. Or if Hakkar or King Malak with animal gods is brought to Sunwell they could get a channeling spell for 5 mins(or less) to absorb the Sunwell's power, but i don't have an idea for reward of absorbing the Sunwell.

Its hard to say, its mostly finished, but there are still afew extra ideas I want to complete before next version. People keep sending me ideas which I want to include which keeps pushing the release date back.

Oh I like that idea, yes maybe once Rhonin has got the book and gone to the pedestool he gains a new ultimate ability in addition to his existing one and the book is safe from the demons getting it.

I don't think he needs to be level 10 though, it will already be mid to late game if Rhonin has managed to get the book of Kel'Thuzad.

I have just included anti sinking triggers for the book, the book can now not be sunk or otherwise destroyed.

Very nice, infact I think we should have incentives for all evil/neutral factions to get the Sunwell and absorb its power, afterall it is the most powerful nexus of magic in the Eastern Kingdoms.

Next version I will make it so any non-alliance race may restore the sunwell and absorb its power into a hero of their choice. The hero will be granted... 10? Level and 10 stats to each attribute, making them very powerful.

The well and its magic will be destroyed, Blood Elves will no longer be able to use it to quench their magical addiction and it will no longer be able to be used to summon the legion.

Your ideas are great and I will defo try and include those two in next version, whats good is they are not too time consuming or difficult to trigger. :)

Sure we can talk over Skype but right now I can't use any more ideas, I need to focus on finishing next ver but have so many things to include! The list keeps getting longer. Eventually I hope to include the southern kingdoms and outland so there is still so much I can include in the map, save your ideas until after next version :)

Played this with friends on battle.net, great map with some good concepts.

Things i'd like to see added:
- More custom models / doodads to add to the realism
- Extra information on events and factions, it's a complex map and new players could be a bit confused.
- Velen / Kil jaeden showdown, it would make for an awesome battle.
- Bolvar Fordragon taking up the mantle of the Lich king, thus making scourge work for alliance

Other than that keep up the great work! :ogre_hurrhurr:

Just want to report a major change since last progress update, the new 11th faction will actually be Draghonmaw Clan not Twilights clan!

This is because it makes alot more sense lore-wise to start with Dragonmaw Clan. Twilights Clan didnt actually invade Twilight Highlights untill Catacysm events so this should appease strict lore fans.


Now for that New Horde events, have you thought of putting in The Sepulcher for Forsaken?

Well Dragonmaw Clan can already gain Boulderfist Ogres, it makes more sense for ogres to join fell orc associated faction, I don;t believe orges have sided with Horde Orcs ever?

So far I have had very positive feedback on the terrain and art of the map, i have used some costum doodad models already but I must be wary of map file size.

Agreed, I am adding new player commands:

-events (displays all major events for your faction)
-tip (displays tactics and tips for your faction)

- Velen / Kil jaeden showdown, it would make for an awesome battle.

Velen is accessible for Argent Dawn in next ver, he is powerful but not at all as OP as KJ, he is too easy to aquire you see. In later versions he will be more powerful though and much more difficult to gain. (I won;t go into too much detail about what I have planned for later versions yet though).

I am generally a fan of what WOW has done with WC lore but I never understood this plot line. Why on earth does there "always need to be a Lich King"? It makes much more sense with Sylvanas gaining all the freed undead spirits which is in the map already!

i have suggestion, as i see u alrdy gave sylvanus a unique portrait why not import her WoW model for even more epicness. As it is most pink dont unally teal and so only get to stay with sylvanus as their only hero. And maybe can you buff her abilities as it stands sylvanus' only real useful ability is her ultimate which isnt that strong as being pinks most important hero.

Hey there, I'm using afew WoW doodads already but it is really impossible to use wow character models in wc3, they make every non wow model look really poor quality plus they take up a stupid amount of space. Bnet maps are limited to 8mg. Even a compressed wow char model costs 1 mg.

I have already done pinks triggers for next version, she gets to join the horde as one of her events which obviously unallys her with teal. I think the problem was that no one likes having no team mates which is why pink never unallied. Forsaken will automaticaly war legion is he summons. This should encourage forsaken to betray legion.

As for her power as a hero, she is already pretty damn good, silence is very op vs Dalaran, I've had people even tell me she should be nerfed which I won't do :)

1. I noticed someone talked about AI. Is it true? Will AI be included?

I can see how her silence ability would be useful against purple early on, but not much else.
She needs more of a damage ability late game as most heroes get some sort of recastable aoe damage spell thats good for fighting armies, which is most important late game as people are spamming units due to excess gold. Another thing, ive seen functioning wow models in maps like Wrath of the Earth Warden (deathwing) and Fall of lordaeron (uther, mograine, sylvanus, isilien, lich). Perhaps u can look more into those maps to see how they did it, But if not then its fine map is still awsome as it is.

New version is up and loaded to Make me host! Version 1.12 was released yesterday!

It includes alot of new features as well as balances.

However I am currently not very happy with it, the new faction: Twilights can will be changing alot as it dosnt really make sense lore wise. They will probabaly be replaced with Dark Horde.

There are also problems with Forsaken's event to join the Horde as this always seems to imbalance the game. You end up with Horde, Trolls and Forsaken allied together with seems op.

Dwarves (Yellow) are also extremely vulnerable now, they get Twilights clan attacking from the south and Horde/Trolls from the east. So expect a buff for dwarves in future versions.

There's also alot of stuff I still need to balance and fix but please try the new version and give me your feed back!

I hosted it today and i played as twilight clan.

Things that i noticed:
-Like you said yellow did not have any chance and got crushed between the horde/trolls and later twilight clan. Yellow left after the first 15min.
-Forsaken betrayed legion after roughly 10min and joined the horde. Legion who doesnt have a second base anymore allied twilight out of desperation but didnt play a major role for the rest of the game
-Chogalls aoe dmg ability(i forgot the name) is very strong and some might even call it OP. Not sure about this, as other heroes have some very strong hero abilities aswell.
-blue/grey dominated the game from mid-game untill the end. They used a "dragon squad" of frost wyrms and resurected dragons. These dragon squads are OP. Frost wyrms dmg is way to high imo to even stand a chance. So maybe limit the amount of frost wyrms abit more? These squads in combination with the lich king were very hard to fight.

That was pretty much the game. trolls got killed in northrend by blue(see dragons squads) red got killed in quel'thalas by grey/blue. Silverhand got killed by scourge and twilight. Horde got killed by twilight in the south. And purple didnt play a role as he was destroyed by pink.

I played the twilight clan and i really enjoyed it. I find the summoning process of deathwing very cool and as it is very hard to do justifies him being so strong.

However may i suggest that when twilight does succeed in summoning him he unallies everyone at that moment?

Ok, i've played it for some time and I see that dwarves are still op :/. I mean those mortar teams are unlimited and they splash kill every unit in front them, so they need to be limited to 8 perhaps.

About the Deathwing Twilight Hammer, summoned the Deathwing via easiest way by absorbing the Sunwell because it doesn't take much time to level up via it, but it takes time to take the Sunwell. Also, it is weird, that every faction can restore The Sunwell, well then we were talking about the Sunwell Absorbing, I imagined that it will look a bit diffirent, but you could make an item vial of Sunwel water which brought to the Sunwell would restore it. It would make harder to restore The Sunwell. And the vial should be unsinkable.

Val'kyrs and those buildings should be invulnerable until Sylvanas reaches them, because every player can kill them and not skilled Forsaken player could get lost and may not find them.

:DDD I have just noticed that you can't take book of Medivh with a hero into a ship or a zeppelin. Now it is a weird situation, Illidan took the book of Medivh brought to an island and then died and now it is impossible to take it. Ouh there is a way by using scrolls of teleportation :).

Jinro'hk The Apocalypse doesn't have cooldown or even mana cost so it makes the owner hero imba.

I will edit this when i find more feedback.

Awesome job done. I will try every faction and i like Deathwings' skills too. Keep up the good work. :)

Edit: Question: I was playing for purple and i couldn't activate the Wyrmrest Accord event. How do i do that?

Ok, I played with every faction (Single Player) and here is my report:

Twilight:
1-Cho'gal's spells are too powerful.
2-Make a limit for the catapults if they are lot they will crush a full army with few melee units with them.

The Horde:

1-Arthas is leveling up very fast.

Cult:
1-Nothing I found! They're good.

Silverhand:
1-Make them more powerful because the Scourge can rush them early and they will be lost.

Dwarves:
1-Make them more powerful because they will be destroyed early by The Horde, The Troll Empire and Twilight's Hammer.

Dalaran:
1-Nothing I found! They're good.

Blood Elves:
1-Why they still allied with the alliance when they go wretched ??

Suggestions:
1-You should keep the Twilight they're good, and add The Dark Horde if you want.
2-Add some events, please. There're just two or three event for every faction.
3-Make the item with Sylvanas and Kael have a 15 minute call dawn, so they will not join The Horde early.
4-Make the Dreadlords summon the Legion with the book.
5-Make Arthas level up slower, So the Scourge will not get The Lich King early.

I hate dwarven scouts with a passion. Making a perma invis like that is a huge mistake considering that there is no limit on the # you can build and how fast they are.

How is it fun to play chase the scouts and sit more than half of your army on points or along the shore to make sure they cant build and have like 20+ shades on points or patrolling around?

You leave to go fight someone else? There goes all your points, or your fighting with less than half an army. Dick around trying to hold points and chase the dwarves? Your ally is fighting alone + the other enemies are gaining ground.

Want to report a very strange bug, Was playing Silverhand, and after building some churches for some reason any priests I spawned automatically died. I hoped by going scarlet this would remedy the situation, but the problem persisted. This included any new churches I built.

Also I support the Dwarves receiving some buff, but in honesty, maybe you can rework it so green has less of a need to kill them preventing you from making the dwarves too strong, as in good hands they're kinda beast as it is. On that note, I wouldn't make any of the other changes of yousef's (except the events thing, everybody likes and wants more events), Arthas levels fine, people are just stupid, plus this map can have very strong factions withing 10 minutes so they need to be contested, especially VS the trolls who can get level 8 frost king pretty easily.

Another note, I don't know if you intended this, but the trolls can get Hakkar and frost king, which personally seems like a bit more than anybody could chew.

And then there's the Fel Elves. I know they're not suppose to be too strong, but after trying them I'm soundly disappointed with their strength. Not to mention that I'm sure you stopped Kael from being able to summon for balance reasons but it doesn't make much sense, why can he summon in normal form when he likely has no reason to, yet strip him of it when he goes Fel when he could use it (also he didn't summon until he went Fel in lore so it would make more sense). How about removing it from default Kael and giving it Fel Kael, but with a 5 minute timer?

And then there's green who's kinda boring, and also lacking an elite unit. Yes it is kinda nice how Gorrash can become this big god of death with amazing strength, but again what's there for green to do besides get that?

Can't forget Twilight which is pretty fun don't get me wrong, but the fact that all they need to do is secure their island, blow up the bridge to deter assaults, and then sail up to the sunwell and let it charge to summon Deathwing? I've done that three times so far, a prepared purp can't seem to lose. I'm not sure how to fix this, but I can't help but feel something should be done about that.

Lastly, if Alex gets Ashbringer and dies, maybe include some event where if Argent kills him, Ashbringer gets transferred to Tirion? Also possibly letting undead Alex forge the Ashbinger somehow, because of gray's 4 heroes I found Alex the weakest. I know it's weird but weirder things have happened (the notmorune from AW for example....).

I'll think of some more stuff as I play more, in the mean time, don't cave on models too much. I'd rather play a solid map with lots of events VS a map that has all the pretty models anyone could want yet less content (I cite most modern games which makes me sad).

OMG I just played Legion and they are completely broken! I stole the book in the first 5 minutes of game and summoned Kil'Jaeden right a way. I was so powerful I was just steam rolling everyone and the game actually got pretty boring as it was so easy.

I ended up having to put him inside the void so I didn't ruin the game for everyone!

I have a lot of plans on how to balance Legion so going to give them a rework next version. Currently this faction is useless unless they get the book but summoning too early ruins the game. They won't be able to summon via the book until level 10 to stop people getting KJ too fast.

I might not take all the advice but there's a lot you guys picked up that will be included in next release. Next release will focus on fixing/balancing whats currently in the game rather than any major new features/events. There's so much in the game already I need to make sure it's all working correctly together.



Things that i noticed...

I think Forsaken joining Horde event needs a rework as I said earlier it presents balance issues, maybe I will add a timer to it or make it only availble after Forsaken has betrayed Legion.

And yes Cho'Galls Runes spell is op, I will lower dmg in next version but as for this OP Frost Wyrm squad I'm not sure I can comment without seeing it myself, do you have any replays you can send me so I can see?

I don't think you can really judge balance too much based on just one game though. Sometimes you just get newbies playing factions, doesn't mean the faction itself is broken. Dalaran WILL die if it just sits in Lordaeron and tries to defend vs Forsaken, Dalaran must have a clear plan at game start and know what he's doing.

Ok, i've played it for some time...

I think theres a problem with the unit limits, Mortar teams and all Siege units should be limited to 8, the triggers are in my map but for some reason not working as intended :/
I'll try and get a friend to look at whats going wrong.

Regarding the Sunwell, I had to allow every faction to restore it so they'd be able to absorb its power, but yeah maybe having players have to find the Vial containing Avea's esssense to restore sunwell first would be more realistic.

I agree about Forsaken's Val'kyr buildings but about the Book, I had to make it so it couldnt be loaded into a transport as people just sunk it... You can just go to the island with ships and Legion has the Astral walk ability to teleport his dreads anywhere on teh map.

About Jinro'hk The Apocalypse ability, I made it like that as the buff can easily be dispelled, but your right I need to do something about it.

Oh sorry about the Wyrmrest Accord event, I actualy did all the triggers for thast but then lost that version of the map. Hopefully it can be completed for next release.

Well, I don't really see whats wrong with the currant Garrosh skin? My skin's only 50mb whereas that Garosh model is like 320mb :0 I actualy tried that model first but I didnt like it enough, despite the portrait actualy been quite good. If you have any low file size model suggestions then I'm all ears though.

Regarding Silverhand, it dosnt actually matter that much if they die early on, they gain a new army and heroes when going Scarlet, then again get a new army and base when they go Argent Dawn. They are the only faction that can keep on dying and still survive!

I added the scouts as Dwarves had no espionage unit, I haven't experienced that myself but yes I can see how people could abuse them like that. What if I limited them to max 10 and lower rifleman armour rating while in scout mode? I will also change the armour type to unarmored while in scout mode.

Again if you saved the re-play I'd like to see it so I know how much to nerf them?

I agree with most of what you said there. Fel Elves will get some attention, they'll be a faction that focuses on summoning demons + Magic etc. And the Fel Kael not being able to summon Legion is a bug which I will fix shortly.

Trolls will no longer start with Ice Trolls, they can capture the base by bringing Zuljin to Gundrak to have him persuade the Ice Trolls to join. Trolls currently start off with 3 big bases across the map which is hell to control, when I played trolls I focused on the mainland and lost my Northrend base quite fast.


Your not the only one to say green (Horde) are boring, next version they'll get to recruit the Tanuka (Ice Tauren) but so far no major events planned for them yet :(

As i mentioned earlier restoring the Sunwell will become harder in next versions so hopefully Twilight shouldn't be able to pull this trick so early on.

Regarding the reported Silverhand Preist bug, I will need to look into it. I tried replicating this myself but didnt get the bug, my preists trained fine? One other person reported this bug earlier but again I couldn't see what's going wrong, I've never had this bug.
