Alright so, I am making a loap RPG and would love to hear your opinions on the subject. All the triggers will be redone, instead of just stepping on a circle and earning money, you will actually have to do stuff and be productive. It uses a stat-point system for most things. Such as, you can mine and smith things, and as you mine, and smelt ore, and craft things, you gain points in the skills which as they get higher, allows you to do more things and get more successes in your attempts at doing them and have less bad stuff happen to you while trying.
You start out as a kid you get to choose what social class you start as which has an impact on future skills, what you know, and how others treat you, and as the days go by, you age. As you do things, even moving, you get tired. You need to eat, drink, and sleep. Depending on what you do, has an impact on everything. The way npcs treat you, or react to you. If you do bad things, you could become a criminal, wanted by the police... That is, if they find out it was you. *meaning clean up after your self, leave no witnesses, etc and you may get away with it.*
It will also include random weather, and a randomness factor!! Allow me to explain. You walk down the street, suddenly you trip and sprain your ankle causing you to move slower for some time. Or you fall on your face and get hurt. While your chopping trees you might accidentally cut off a finger, or severe a limb forcing you to get it fixed at the hospital or you might bleed to death. As you mine, maybe the pick breaks and the head bounces off the rock and injures you... Maybe you find a $20 bill on the sidewalk, or something else of value? Even the weather has an affect on different things in the game.
You can do many many different things, such as be a chef, hunt and cook your food in the wilds, or go hunting for exotic meat such as dragon and prepare it in a kitchen. Wander through the woods and pick up mushrooms, and herbs and learn herbology. Use some of those herbs after identifying them for alchemy. Be one with nature and try taming things from small animals such as dogs or cats, to possibly even large wolves or dragons! Explore dungeons and defeat bosses sitting upon treasure, while raising your fighting skills and master combat with various weapons. Even running or walking you can raise your dexterity to move faster and have greater endurance.
those were just some examples of what I plan to put into the game. Also plan on adding in housing, maybe even the ability to build a house on a empty plot. However with so many things, saving and loading would be impossible and unbalanced... I might add in saving and loading if people really want it *but the code would probably be 200 letters long, or have 1 small code for each different skill*, but the general idea is to start out from scratch.
So tell me your opinions on such a loap, and if you think you might like such a game. And also what you think it needs, or should have.
