No, just one loading screen file will not work. You need to have 4 different files, upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left. There is (or there was) a tutorial about custom loading screens. I searched for it, but I didn't find it. Will post it once I do.

False

each mdx requires it's own loading screen criteria(filetype, size, number, and names of files).

At least, I imported my own loading screen with 4 different files, as I mentioned, and worked fine.

sure, because there are more than just this one way.. at the beginning it was like you said, splitted into 4 paths, with bigger bottom parts and smaller upper parts.. but someone found out a better and easier way, with just one file, so this will save some size and some work..

there are also a lot of programs, like the model editor that has some bonus features that can easily create you some loadingscreens.. both way works, just depends on paths and stuff..

but i like the two files only one better, because you can do the whole picture without splitting it into 4 parts.. its easier to use and to adjust in my opinion, but everyone uses his own technics ;)
