Listing abilities

If you guys have played Final Fantasy Forever or Final Fantasy Tactics AOS, I noticed that when you click on a button, it brings up a list of spells the guy has. Like, if you click "white magic," the white magic spells show up. I wanna learn how to do this.

Just change the item ability "spell book" into a hero ability, make different levels with different spells, and from there its just another ability.
