[General] List of Good Dummy Spells?

I'm not sure you need anything besides channel if said thing does not involve buffs/debuffs. It has so many fields that can be customized and it's order ID can be changed so you can make as many copies of it as you need.

It also depends on what you want from those dummy abilities- I think you will need to be more specific with the term "good".

Because channel can sometimes be a hassle inputting in data fields
.. like everytime you create channel you will need to check the data fields to visible, etc. I just thought that it would be more slower to make compared to other spells. For example, I want a dash ability. ground target type. Say Carrion Swarm is the best candidate for that, plus you won't have to check/uncheck some data fields everytime you create similar abilities.

using carrion swarm as a dummy ability for dash means you have to remove the art, damage, cooldown etc. which channel does not automatically have

how you are lazy to check some boxes is beyond me

Then just draw a copy where you have it already set? The abilities are very custom in their effects and behavior and there are things 'Channel' lacks like backswing animation time or parallel ordering. Depending on what you want and what you can compensate for, we can enumerate like all the abilities for you.

If you bother to go beyond standard editor measures, you can create objects and stuff by other means but ofc this requires you acquiring the knowledge.

If the follow through time = unit's backswing, then everything should look fine cosmetically.

It's an alternative but not exactly the same. For example this is not unit specific and the events trigger differently.

There are many other effects that may make you want decline 'Channel' like passives, resource costs, right-click overriders, parallel castings, automatics.
