Leveling Units

I'm currently working on a map and I need to know how to give a units hero qualities (Leveling up) without it showing the hero selection icons on the left hand side

I'm currently using just a hero but changed model,stats,icon, and removed hero abilities that u could upgrade through leveling.
I've seen something like this done in the Wc3 Games called Ant Sims errr w/e

You can disable the hero icon and the death messege in the object editor.
Stats - Hero and you'll find a lot of stuff which you might want to remove too..

i looked around in the object editor and i don't see the 2 things u were talking about + rep tho for the help

You most select a hero unit not a regular unit.

Ok i'm even looking at a normal unedited Hero... and i don't see it... where is it... what section... art i'm assuming
