It's been a long time since i last created a map (Civilization: RT) and now I've started production of a map dubbed "Legacy". At first, I was starting to produce a game that sported unit-system combat with hirable/attainable heroes, much like Generation of Chaos, but that idea has inverted. Now players control a hero/es and its entourage/s accompanied by hirable/attainable soldiers...

Please do not take the major concepts and produce one premature to mine... since I'm usually busy, it'll take some time for th actual production to come out.

Concept:
-Assimilation of the game world
-Different characters with gameplay and ways of attaining fame and money.
-Randomization of map settings each game (in terms of location of towns, starting points and some terrain)
-Usage of trigger leveing, instead of exp leveling
-Intelligent AI (effectively ambushing your party, attacking your camp etc)
-Active World (roving hostiles or friendlies)
-Staying away from using too much mages.

Setting:
Iron/Medieval Age/Renassiance
Lively world
-Magic-weak world, more realistic.

Gameplay:
-Varies depending on character selected.
-Gathering an entourage of secondary characters while trying to defeat your enemies.
-12 player mayhem!
-More realistic combat (One hero might be able to kill 2-3 enemies alone)

So far I've only come up with 4 secondary characters and "2" primary characters, all characters are unique and named.

Primary Player Selections:
-Templar Grand Master
-Spacefaring Crewmates

Secondary Characters:
-Fire Sorceress
-Knight
-Templar Knight
-Each, unique crewmate

I've gotten plenty of special effects thanks to a lot of the modders in THW.

Ideas for additional character stories would be nice. Other than that, I really don't need help... yet, just felt like posting the information somewhere so I would be more encouraged to work on it.

Oh yeah, if you do add a unique character, please put what the possible Pros and Cons can be.
i.e.
Templar Grand Master: [PROS] Starts game with two entourages, can find and possess Solomon's Temple for HQ ; Gains 3x amount of favor (experience) from quests [CONS] Money (guess) is automatically converted to fame (lumber) ; Completing quests is the only way to attain Favor (experience)

ANOTHER

Spacefaring Crewmates: [PROS] Starts with many strong units ; All units are enhanced with biotics, cybernetics and technology [CONS] No Leveling (no heroes) ; Can have a horrible start (based on performance in unique prologue) ; All denizens treat them as hostiles, until language is translated.

The way the Space Crew is set up will easily make them very hard in difficulty... since their numbers can't be replenished early, with no heroes and there is a chance that all the crewmates may be killed before the prologue ends (except one of course...), but during the prologue a lot of things can be altered an gained *hint* *hint* so they may have a chance of having a horrible start, but also a great start.
