Nice Attachment to make it look like someone is bleeding
(5 ratings)
This model previously did have a bone, but it had prevented the model from moving, could you advise me how to fix this? The sound effect I can go add, but do particle FX need collison shapes? Please add a proper bone, a proper collision shape and some sound effects to the models.
How do I use this? I want this effect to happen when for ex: Halaberdier Stabs a Chaos MarauderBone added.
Of Course Hazop, my original had no sound. I'll upload a soundless version to the site tomorrow. How do I use this? I want this effect to happen when for ex: Halaberdier Stabs a Chaos Marauder
Also can u make a version with no sound?
Art - Special? and on the unit? or Attachment?Of Course Hazop, my original had no sound. I'll upload a soundless version to the site tomorrow.
To use the effect its really easy, the effect is intended to be placed on the victim. So when the manuever is cast, set the Special Effect Target to Lascerate.mdx, then set the attachment to chest and attachment points to 1. If you want to add a buff so the unit continues to bleed make an ability with a buff that uses the special effect Lascerate.

also by this ex: Halaberdier Stabs a Chaos Marauder I mean attacked not ability
Oh god! Thanks you so much! Here you go bud! Just substitute the units I used in the trigger with your own.
For Hazop
Events
Unit - A unit Is attacked
Conditions
(Unit-type of (Attacked unit)) Equal to Fel Orc Raider
(Unit-type of (Attacking unit)) Equal to Swordsman
Actions
Special Effect - Create a special effect attached to the chest of (Attacked unit) using Lascerate.mdx
Special Effect - Destroy (Last created special effect)
-------- You may ask: Why destroy the special effect? This will remove it from the game after playing its animation, causing your game to use less of your computer resources, which since a halberdier may make many attacks would be important. --------
Hey Hazop, it appears I have made a mistake. I had told you to destroy the special effect, but this one has an invisible death animation meaning it makes it not work. Try again, but without the destroy special effect part. Obviously you will need to destroy the special effects. But skip that for the moment and see if it pops up. If it does that's great, let me know and I'll make you a personal version that will work when you destroy it.Oh god! Thanks you so much!
I just realized you need attacking unit as well... RIP
(Edit) Veronnis in my map go to "Blood And Gore!" in the triggers, it dosent seem to appear..
Yeah it works but sadly I have to do this process for every unit. thanksHey Hazop, it appears I have made a mistake. Not Neccesarily. If you want your Halberdier to make the effect regardless of which unit it attacks then merely remove the condition for which unit the enemy needs to be.Yeah it works but sadly I have to do this process for every unit. thanks![]()
Hmm. Would you look at that.By the way it's "Lacerate"
Option added. Please let me know if it works according to what you were looking for. I didn't have time to test it in game.Could you add a third option which works when you destroy the effect instantly please?
Thanks! Hopefully I'll get some more out soon, the new patch changes for warcraft 3 have left me unsure of the best way to make things lol. This looks very good, I've searching for models like this for a long time, might use it for my map.
Exactly what I needed! Thanks.
Only thing I recommend changing the file names from Lascerate -> Lacerate
