is there a player keyboard event key is pressed/ released other then the arrow keys? like for wasd? if so can you post them?

You will need Jass NewGen Pack installed with Grimoire enabled to enable things like key events and mouse-position events, though they will not be able to be used in Battle.net games.

Well I'm already using new-gen but in the GUI i still only have the arrow keys as options...is it possible to get anymore key events?

You're probably right. I have been trying to find a recent post made that contained a handy list of all the scripts you could input for hack-events, though I am oddly unable to find it on hive,helper,wc3c combined O_O

Without RtC the closest you could come to key-press events is ability hot-keys.

And even then you can only detect presses, not releases or holding.
