- Yes, I'm a laggard like that.

This terrain and some of it's key-models are sponsored and made by Frankster,
A great modeling asset to us terrainers.

It's near perfection. Doodads are well placed, fog is slight and gentle but at the same time easily noticeable, which makes it all the more pleasant to look at. The way everything fades away in the background creates great distance/night effects. The half-moon is something I haven't even seen before (or at least I haven't noticed) but nevertheless it looks fantastic. My only critiques are the empty-ish roofes of the buildings as well as the empty wall-looking segment in the foreground. They feel like a small hint of detail wouldn't hurt. Same goes for the garden - a few more flowers/benches would make it look a bit more complete, at least in my opinion. Overall, great job, can't wait to see more from you guys.

What really bugs me (and it might just be me) but the slightly different angles of the buildings. That looks really weird IMO. For example the thing directly right to the bridge. Why would one build something that consists of two little huts that point in different directions? Or at the right bottom. The planes go in a slightly different direction then the tower looks.

Technically the terrain is brilliant though.

Oh it's THIS terrain :) at night, my way. Everything looks fantastic, except the shrine could use one or a few of those lights from the bridge... and I still don't like the awnings :( they look wrong somehow; make the single ones shorter, perhaps?

I blame the construction workers.
- Fuckin' slack-jobs.

They look perfect, stop inducing your delusional thoughts on me!
- We might address their proportions, though.

Add few guards and people here and there, yes it's night, but it's look scary so empty :)

Units are scary.

I havent logged in here in a while due to lack of time, but when i did today and i saw this post i knew it was something i had definitely had to see!
As i expected it is brutally awesome!
And as i am sure you both want, is critiques in the extreme, so i am going to note out some details i noticed!

#1. I understand that is a mountain of some shorts in the background, but i think it has a too steep of an angle, compared to the rest of the horizon which is a vast plain i persume, maybe remove it or make it smoother and make its feet appear earlier in the picture and steadily going up.

#2. I believe there are too many lights in this bridge. There is no single lantern in the whole city, but yet this point is full with them! For example the bridge to the left has 0 lights on it, maybe remove some of those lights make it a little darker.

#3 Nothing bad here, just had to specially comment this spectacular effect!

#4 I know its not your fault, but them angles in the roofs just look terrible, yeah that is the modeler's fault, but maybe try to cover them with some plants or something to cover up their mess!

#5 If i get it right that is either some water plants floating, or a tree in the ground. Either way, the way the green plant ends where the boat starts doesnt look good in my eye, i would suggest to move it a little bit!

May i repeat this is one of the most beautiful terrains i've seen in here!
Congratulations!

1. It was actually done this way on a whim because it kinda coheres to the setting Keiji depicted in his novel works. Horizon is actually a rocky landscape with smaller faraway mountains.

2. Let's say the bridge is the main route and is lit for convenience.

3. I was kinda pleased with what came out of it.

4. Yeah they suck. Kindasorta balances monotony though.

5. Not fatal enough to make me get off my ass and do something about it. :/

Thanks for replies.
