Junk icons

Ok, i've already seen too many junk icons, and I decided to post links to all those (maybe I'll still miss some). They are either recolored, hidden warcraft icons, or simply bad. Maybe someone will delete them. I really hope so:

Good luck deleting those!!! And if you want this to stop, enforce more rules and warn those who post junks. I can also make a list with icons without disabled version. :lol:

Yeah i saw those too. Mass recolors. It's ok if there's only one attempt of recoloring... but I don't think people should mass recolors like that. That's like skinning for icons lol. And i've also seen the icons that were submited 2 times. That damn icon of chaos attack in 64x64 version is getting on my nerves. ElfWarfare deleted them, and then he submited it again. And i thought; this guy is looking for a fight for sure.

recoloring is sometimes very usefull you know...
i myself downloaded something like 20 recolored warcraft icons, some of the recolors are really good and usefull...dont delete them...cheack if thay were downloaded first and if many people downloaded it its probebly a good recolor...

Boomwolf... Most of the people can work with Hue/Saturation. It's the first thing I learnt to use in Photoshop.

Elfwarfare... Some more work for you. Here are two more junks. First is a hidden warcraft 3 icon recolored from blue to red, nothing else and second is extremely poorly changed skeleton icon:

what on earth is Hue/Saturation anyway?
and not everyone got Photoshop...
you cant even think how many maps i made got stuck caz i needed icons recolor i cant do...and icon recolor is extra usefull when tinting stuff in the world editor...you need an icon recolor to make blue orcs for exsample.

get the simple fact-some people use it and need it caz thay got no programs to make icons and thay got now idea how to do that "useless" recoloring thay need so much for the maps thay are making.

Good recolors are one thing. BAD recolors are another. It's one thing when you put work into recoloring something so that it looks nice. It's a totally different thing when you just change the hue and go "Hey, I'm done! Look at my cool new icon! It took me about 5 minutes!" It's not a bad thing to do recolors, because like you said, some people really need them, but it's bad when someone does a crap job of it.

Lol the second one is completly useless. Even I did a better "first icon". And the disabled version of that icon is COMPLETLY useless.

and not everyone got Photoshop...

You can recolor on almost any picture editing program, and if you do not have any of those programs, you can download one for free. Saying that not everyone has Photoshop is a lame excuse for letting people post recolors.

I used to have photoshop untill my computer got reformated i tried to get it again(this is through Lime Wire) but couldn't find it.
