Is there any ability to create such map as arcane sanctuary from D2?

You could achieve that by using the black tile from the Outland tileset together with the Cityscape tileset. The question is how detailed you want the transition to be - you could quite easily make the terrain art for it by fading the texture or simply using imported models that increase opacity layer by layer to blend the cliffs into the void. More directly (and less pretty) approach would be to use elevators tinted black to cover the footstep of the cliff.

Alternative you can use water coloured black, but that has some issues of its own.

Thx, I'll try to do that, using water and fog is not the best option

I mean combination of abyss like in Outland with cityscape wall border
The highest fidelity approach I could think of would use a transparent texture as the ground texture for the background, then place glowing billboard point effects semi-randomly to add depths. Then the walkable platforms would be walkable destructables so they can feel truly floating. The transparent ground terrain would be quite close to the walkable destructable height so that the camera works reasonably well with the setup. As an alternative, instead of walkable destructables, the transparent ground terrain could be used as a walkable layer with the walkable structures being sunk into it. A black skybox might be needed to avoid background artefacts of peering through the ground.

I do not know how one would try to recreate the Escher style depth that Diablo II had. That sort of graphic trickery works fine in 2D but is unlikely to translate well to 3D.
